Totally agree Tess! Going tomorrow with a bit of trepidation and hope rather than all out confidence like I usually have in the mighty magpies winning. I think Carlscum will be fired up after their All Star thrashing and this week's Matty Allen affair. We have no real motivation other than to get some urgently needed match practice under our belts. It will be interesting to see how some of the younger blokes and players like Molloy perform.
I'm very quietly confident of a win...........only just:-)

I will be shrugging it off as a practice match as thats what it is, i went to Canberra last year and watched us get thumped by sydney, we were terrible but our blokes had not had a hitout before that, and do you think Sydney were the team that played us in the Grannie? i dont think so!

I think we will win as we do have too much class for the Gooners but i wouldnt be suprised or disapointed if they beat us.

Lets wait till the real stuff and watch us fly!!!!!!

If I was a betting man, which I'm not, my money would be on Carlton. I reckon they are pretty close to a good thing.

I'm expecting a slow to start to the season. Our players are well behind Carlton's players in terms of preparation. I can't see how we could possibly beat them at this stage.

The result will be meaningless. The only bad thing about it is that it might help to sell a few Carlton memberships. And watching their supporters giving it to us after the game won't be pretty ... but, hey ... we've been there before. We'll get over it.

Not sure at this stage if I can be bothered turning up to watch it. I'll decide in the afternoon ... when I wake up.

All in all I have been telling my Carlton friends that they (the Blues) have an extra incentive to win. If they win the money will help pay them.

The ussual will happen Tess, if we lose there will be mass hysteria and most of us will probably think its our season down the drain.

But in reality we probably should win, I mean if Leon could tear apart the scum after being 4 weeks behind them in fitness (and he came back very unfit) and in a side that doesnt train together then we really should thump them.
