why aren't politics allowed to be discussed on nick's BB? It is an area that affects everyone and as such we should be allowed to discuss it.

Well, it's a football site, specifically a Collingwood football site, so that's what most discussion here should be about (though we do seem to stray off topic on the odd occasion). There are heaps of other boards/forums you can go to to discuss politics.

That's right Kristin.
Not only that it always creates arguments that seem to get out of hand.
Most of us don't come here to talk politics but to get away from it.

And don't ever, I mean ever, try and discuss rumours about Collingwood people.
And don't ever swear at Collingwood people (at least until they have left the club then its open slather).

You'll get used to it.

You guys make it far too easy - it really is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Scud,

This is what happens if we only discuss whether we should discuss politics! It gives you a fair indication of what will happen if broader political subjecs are raised.

Hence politics in particular and other non-Collingwood related topics in general are discouraged on Nicks.

yeah well put WPW, political debates on here generally discintergrate into open abuse, which isn't fun for most people, so we actively discourage them. You'll probably see an example sooner or later, which might deompnstrate what we're about!

Scud - You asked this question in the Feedback forum, and you were answered. Why are you posting this question in here?

Actually Joel in scud's defence he asked here first.
The ole double topic posting trick by the server led to confusion.
