Hey Guys! Im a 15 year old South Aussie girl! Yes, guys im a (feral) Port Adelaide supporter and Im really interested in your veiws about my clubs, The port Maggies and the Power (pretenders)! How do you feel towards these clubs? I am doing a major school exhibtion on why Port Adelaide cause such extreme emotion in the football public. So please right (sp!) back!!!!

Couldn't give a toss about Port Adelaide, except for the fact that Port Power supporters seem to think they are the rightful owners of the 'Magpies' name and the black and white colours. What they seem to forget is that they decided to join the AFL, AFTER Collingwood.

Port Adelaide Magpies in the SANFL are about as important as the Scoresby Magpies in the eastern district footy league....

The Port Adelaide Power are only good for one thing.....walking us straight into a home prelim final because they are so soft...

They are really starting to resemble Sydney in many ways....just getting players from other clubs who are already proven...this is because they have not produce any decent players themselves...a bunch of rejected hacks running around thinking they are good

Port were over-rated all year and never posed a threat to the flag....their coach is a stupid dog and don't get me started on wankerneen.

Port really are just a waste of space....I have no time for them or their supporters...thus ending this message

I couldn't give a stuff about the Port Adelaide Magpies - who are they?
I absolutely can't stand Port Power, the sooking, whinging puerile behaviour of the coach and players make Matthew Richardson look like a good sport!
They are obviously jealous of the REAL Magpies.

As far as the port adelaide magpies, I know there were alot of Collingwood supporters who followed them in the SANFL before the power came along. Now the hate seems to be for both clubs or there is confusion amongst some. I must admit I was very jealous of their record in GF's particularly during the period 79-81. I did comment to people I knew when the power came to be that the club was used to success and it would be interesting to see if that manifested itself sooner than later. It would seem that choking has been what has materialised.

Other than that they're just another opposing team which I couldn't care less for today.

You have entered an area seeking information for a project. Your intentions are probably good but considering the contempt our clubs show each other you are probably not going to get any usefull information for your project.

Dr Alf has a thesis. You can find it on his signature of any one of his posts. Read this - its long but on the money when it comes to the culture of footy and may be helpful for you.

Don't take these replies to heart....hope you get the info you need for the project but I'd think twice before posting in here again unless it was to discuss Collingwood and how good we are.

Well, I love watching that first final of 2002, you know the one, where that sook francou does a richo (the scum richo of course)!. Poor sooky lala, didn't like getting his arse kicked by the mighty Magpie machine!

Oh, and I loved being at the very first AFL game they played. Giving them a hiding was so sweet......
