ohh essendon are on a big downward spiral alrite, they were SOOOO good in 2000 (and no one can argue with that, well im sure abi could think up a petty argument) but now theyre dodgy as and only a middle team theyre still in the top 8 but NOT the top 4 and theyre on their way down unless they do something about it. which is what theyre attempting to do with players that are no longer at their peak.

I think Essendon are more likely to go for Ricky Mott than Matthew Allen - he's younger and will be cheaper option for them (important given their well documented salary cap problems).
