Anyone who thinks that our injury woes won't continue this year is in for a shock
Maccaffer sharenberg young greenwood reid witts keffee (gone for good IMO)Thomas (same as keeffe)
We already have the biggest injury/not available list in the league heading into round 1..
Only at collingwood can a senior players like witts & reid play a couple of practice matches and still not ready..
Look at the other clubs and there are a heap of senior players that will play round 1 without any match time..
Are we being to careful ??

Can't blame the club for Keeffe and Thomas.
Caff & Sharenberg were always going to be in rehab until middle of the year.
Reid/Witts are both playing and supposedly not injured so technically only match fitness away.
Greenwood, Young, yeah ok, can't do much about either of those. Suspect we may not see Young again either. His body clearly is busted up.
May be the biggest in the league but when you've got 2 x knee recos pus 2 x drug charges you're starting a long way back.
Nothing to be worried about and to be honest I think they are being incredibly careful after last year. Mind you, if I remember correctly, they were incredibly careful last year too??

Keeffe and Thomas aren't injured, unless you argue they're suffering from (potentially) self inflicted bullet wounds to the metatarsus.

Cool story bro, Witts is playing, Macca & Shazza injured from last year. So we are down to 4. ( Keefe and Thomas not injured )

Correct. Also, Caff, Shazza, Witts and (probably) Reid are all on the way back from injuries/surgery. Greenwood has a broken tibia - that's hardly something the Club could control, or even influence - and Young is probably at the end of his career playing out a contract, things not having worked out as he and we would have wished. I would prefer all of the senior and rookie lists to be fit and ready every week but it doesn't look like there's been too much done wrong (with the training, at least) over this preseason. |

Who gives a crap about whether or not keeffe & Thomas aren't injured.
Off course there not injured, the point I Am making is that we have 8 players and u can add seedsman to that list, that aren't available for round 1..
With seedsman that is 9 players not available to play senior footy at the start of a season..
It's not a great position to be in before the season has even started..
