Cloke the difference in the game at the moment, killing Jack, goals again, back out to 13 points. We need the next goal.

Damn it, 8 point loss, we had more scoring shots, but missed too many.

Good second half effort, but bad kicking cost us.

Bring a smile to your face I'll bet, Dave! I reckon the lad needs to finish strongly in the VFL last few weeks and finals for his future.

Delighted to see Francis names our best, a real hard nut, no guts no glory footballer who -in his last year as a rookie- is fighting his way back from a shocking run with injury.

Another dissapointing loss at the VFL. Thats 4 in a row we've dropped now!

Top 4 looks out of the question now. Lets hope we get a home final at Vic Park. That would be great!

VFL have confirmed that no finals will be played at Victoria Park regardless how bad TEAC Oval is and it is amongst the worst grounds in the VFL at the moment. Vic Park and Princess Park being the best.

Kardinia Park would be a great option for the Grand Final, but the VFL want a night fixture at Docklands instead because they truly do have their head up their own arse.

That's very disappointing, a final at Vic Park would be awesome.

So the Borough host all the finals again?

With the GF at the dome on a Friday night?

Well, lets hope we can atleast be the home team in the elimination final.

I'd love to knock out Bendigo.

Happy with Lica's summary, we needed to get provide more contests and and our usual ball winners;Jaxson Barham, Ryan Cook and Josh Thomas are in a bit of a bad patch allat the same time. We did well to get so close being a man down on a ground bigger than the MCG.

Hope they can turn it around Saturday.

VFL player-by-player report with Paul Licuria

2. Sean Rusling (7k, 4hb, 5m, 2t): Another positive step forward getting through the whole game. Led really well. He was strong and powerful.

3. John McCarthy (14k, 18hb, 1g, 3t): Another good game from Johnny. Made a few mistakes but got through the game with little soreness.

7. Paul Medhurst (11k, 10h, 3m, 2t): Very solid, very good in the middle sharing time up forward.

9. John Anthony (10k, 5h, 1m, 1t): Played in defence on Jason Cloke and restricted him to one goal. Very good in the air and provided a lot of run.

11. Shane O’Bree (16k, 7h, 3m, 4t): We all know what Cheesy can do. He is very smart with the footy and his leadership skills are fantastic.

16. Nathan Brown (14k, 12h, 1g, 7m, 1t): Good down back. Played on a key forward. He is finding a lot more of the footy which is good because that is what he needs to do to play senior footy.

19. Cameron Wood (7k, 8h, 5m, 4t): His best game of the year. Took some good contested marks. Played with presence. Really stamped his authority on the game.

24. Tarkyn Lockyer (16k, 7h, 1g, 10m, 4t): Very good for us. Worked extremely hard up forward. Provided a great target for us as a small leading forward.

25. Josh Fraser (12k, 6h, 2g, 3m, 6t): He got plenty of the ball as a ruckman which is a fair effort. Worked the ground over.

27. Jarrad Blight (5k, 15h, 4m, 4t): Played down back. Made a few errors.

29. Ryan Cook (8k, 12h, 7m, 2t): Down on his normal 30 touches. Made few mistakes.

37. Luke Rounds (12k, 2h, 5m, 3t): Played half forward. Didn’t kick any goals which he would be disappointed in.

38. Scott Reed (4k, 5h, 2g, 2t): He kicked two goals but we need him to be more creative.

40. Josh Thomas (4h, 12k, 1g, 10t): He didn’t get as much of the ball as he normally does. It’s been a long year for him.

41. Simon Buckley (15k, 12h, 6m, 2t): Half forward and got plenty of the ball. Probably needs to kick a few more goals.

43. Jaxson Barham (12k, 10h, 6m, 7t): A bit like Cooky, needs more of the footy. They are both our barometres of the side and when they are down on their numbers, it really affects the side.

44. Lachlan Keeffe (4h, 7k, 2t): Down back and used the ball well. Can play on a big or a small. He has had an exciting year.

45. Tom Hunter: The good news he doesn’t need an operation on his neck and will make a full recovery (was in a collision with Nathan Lovett-Murray and was helped off in the early stages of the opening term).

46. Tristan Francis (6k, 3h, 2g, 1m, 6t): Had great impact with his physicality.

48. Jack Carter (6h, 5k, 3m, 3t): Down back and was OK.

49. Tom Young (16k, 9h, 5m, 2t): Poor first half. His second half was much better after he responded to the coaches.

50. Shae McNamara (3h, 3k, 1m): Needs to find more of the footy.
