Agree die4.....good wrap up of the game. A mention to for big Shae, kicked a couple from set shots and showing signs of reading the play (at times) around the ground. No question the guy can lead, mark, kick setshots, win tap outs and even get it from ground level and have a shot....but if he starts to read the game around the ground.....you just never know.....he could make it.
Interesting times ahead for Shae.......watch with interest.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh. Agree wholeheartedly.
But quietly-softly for big Shaemus. He is our big secret.

That's some good news, anyhow, particularly given how hard it is for us to find ruckmen at the best of times.

I thought played well and tried hard all day. Very explosive but still prone the odd disastrous clanger. However, he did not do anything that cost us the game while at the same not doing enough or us to win it either. Still in our better half of the VFL 22, but a good distance away from the AFL 22 now.

Has Scott Reed missed the last couple of games? He has been good recently I think he is our leading goal kicker with Rounds

Josh and Tom Hunter had the flu. Were NQR but still played their guts out. Love these two and their committment to the team. Bob Rose would be proud to have them in the Black and White.

Rowdy's review:

Quote:
2. Sean Rusling (6k, 3h, 6m, 1g, 1t): Was OK. Played at full forward. Third game back and he got through unscathed. His game time is right up now. Moving really well.

3. John McCarthy (13k, 14h, 6m, 2g, 5t): Very good. It’s his fourth game back from injury and his last few games have been very good. He is knocking on the door of senior selection.

7. Paul Medhurst (16k, 6h, 10m, 6t): Playing in the midfield. He has also put his hand up for a senior appearance.

9. John Anthony (9k, 10h, 5m, 2t): He had two goals kicked on him but marked the ball really well. Had 11 spoils. Very solid. Put his hand up.

11. Shane O’Bree (12k, 6h, 2m, 1g, 4t): Played half forward and midfield. His leadership is great. Been giving away a few free kicks here and there. He is like an onfield coach. The reports from the bench have been positive.

19. Cameron Wood (7k, 4h, 3m): Improving. Took some powerful marks. Heading in the right direction. His ruck work was a lot better this week.

25. Josh Fraser (15k, 7h, 7m, 1g, 2t): Kicked a nice goal. His second effort stuff was solid. Just needs to wait for an opportunity.

28. Ben Sinclair (6k, 5h, 4m, 5t): Solid defensive game without giving a lot of run. His ability to pounce and tackle and his closing speed is phenomenal. He makes defenders weary when the ball hits the ground. Might throw him around now. He has been down back for the last month.

29. Ryan Cook (19k, 13h, 10m, 2t): One of his better games off halfback. Good ball use. Controlled his man.

37. Luke Rounds (4k, 4h, 2m, 1g): Quieter than normal.

38. Scott Reed (9k, 6h, 2m, 6t): Kicked a beauty. He was a bit patchy.

40. Josh Thomas (6k, 6h, 2m, 6t): A bit crook so you have to give him a bit of an out there. He was down on his usual numbers.

41. Simon Buckley (16k, 8h, 13m, 3t): Played on a wing this week. Good attack on the footy. Great from a physical point of view.

43. Jaxson Barham (12k, 8h, 5m, 1g, 3t): He had a solid game. Laid three really good tackles.

44. Lachlan Keeffe (7k, 6h, 3m, 5t): Played on Callum Sinclair, who used to play here. He is the second highest goalkicker at Port. Lachlan had a pretty solid game.

45. Tom Hunter (9k, 11h, 1m, 1g, 1t): Similar to Thomas, had a bit of a viral infection going into the game. Wasn’t his zippy, hard ferocious self.

46. Tristan Francis (5k, 8h, 3m, 5t): Played in the middle and off halfback. His attack was very hard. Tackling pressure was great. Gave away a few silly free kicks.

48. Jack Carter (3k, 5h, 2m, 2t): Didn’t get much of the footy but controlled his man.

49. Tom Young (4k, 11h, 4m, 1t): He was down on his numbers.

50. Shae McNamara (5k, 1m, 2g): Took one really nice mark. He is working on that part of his game. He needs to get more of the footy.
