Hmm.....so Peter, if I said that, as a Collingwood supporter, I had bombed a Bali Hotel, to get rid of a few opposition players, and that it was done in the name of CFC, then ALL Collingwood supporters should be jailed?
False claims of responsibility are not new.

The world is a scary place right now, who's next is indeed the question. With the US looking very likely to hit Iraq it's only going to get worse. Snipers in the US, bombs in Bali...argh, I don't even want to imagine what will hit next. My parents-in-law are flying in from Canada on American Airlines next Saturday and they are nervous enough. Let's hope this madness ends sooner rather than later. I just feel so sorry for the families affected by these terrorists acts.

I despair for this world!!!Every day I go to work to care for people admitted with stab wounds after arguments, bashed with baseball bats for beeping their horns at the wrong person, young people overdosing on drugs because they are so mentally and physically scarred from abuse at the hands of those supposed to care for them and now the ever increasing threat of being blown up for being the wrong race or religion! I don't know how the world can continue with this attitude and this tit for tat - eye for an eye mentality - take heed George W your crusade to avenge your dear old dad's perceived failure will bring this world to it's knees! Stand tall for humanity people - don't be conned into believing the hype - not all who follow the teachings of Islam are terrorists and not all Americans are war mongerers. We have to condemn violence against all human beings and then and only then can we hope to salvage some semblence of a civilised society! I live in eternal hope!!

I'm not a pro war person at all. I think we should not back americas aggression towards Iraq, they have done nothing to us. However when Australians die in terrorist attacks I feel much different. It's the governments job to protect its citizens and protect them they must. Australians are known for standing up for what is right and we stand up for one another. This is a time for it.

One of my friends is unaccounted for so I'm waiting for news and hoping for the best. It's a terrible tragedy. My sympathies go out to everyone effected by it.

It's not just about the Aussies affected there...

This is the third major setback in the Balinese tourism industry in about four years - fall of Suharto/elections/ET then September 11 and now this. Just as everyone was recovering from September 11, just as all the tourists were coming back to Bali, now this happens.

It's very sad about all the tourists being injured and killed, and my thoughts are with their families and friends, but I'd like to see some more sympathy going towards the Balinese.
