I have been listening to gold 104.3 news reports and I am pretty sure they said that Jason McCartney of North Melbourne has been severly burned by the bomb, but still alive. Melbourne Demons & Geelong Cats players are over there aswell. Schwartz said that Melbourne aren't hurt. I'm pretty sure that was what gold 104.3 said.
My heart goes out to all those involved and I hope that a lot survive.
Love always, Alyssa xoxo

Just heard the same thing on Ch10 news flash in the middle of the Bathurst 1000.
They recon that there are at least 100 killed and the toll is getting worse....Also supposed to be a terorist attach.
Where did our players go for their end of year holiday?????
They say that at least 5 AFL teams are over there....God I hope that all players and supporters are OK.

My girlfriend's brother got back from Bali yesterday. Want to know something scary? They spent every night while they were there partying at the place that was attacked. He was last there about 3 days ago. VERY SCARY!!!

On top of that - my girlfriend's twin sister tried to book to go to Bali this week (as in, be in Bali this week), however, the place where they want to stay was booked out so they booked for in a couple of weeks. I guess they may not be going now.

TERRORISTS ARE THE SCUM OF THIS EARTH!!!!

From abc.net.au:
"The Kangaroos Football Club has confirmed key defender Jason McCartney has been injured in the explosions.

Footballer manager Tim Harrington says McCartney and team-mate Mick Martyn were in a nightclub when the blasts happened.

"He is okay, I understand that he had some minor sort of burns, this is coming from Mick, and they just wanted to make sure that Jason was okay and there was no chance for infections," he said.

"We're just endeavouring to get them home as quickly as we can for their own sake and for their family's sake, obviously everyone's quite concerned here."

That is absolutely horrible! Does it really take TWO of these incidents before the world will look at what is going wrong?
Nobody wins in a violent situation, and counter attacks (yes, mr bush)do not help. I only hope that some good can be salvaged from the wreck that is modern life.
My sympathies go out to all those injured or killed.

Good point- it's like after Sept. 11, when everyone was grieving for the new-yorkers, but no-one knew about the 5,000 children that die of dysentery every-day.

Welcome to the 21st century, no one is safe, witness the current sniper shootings in Washington.
Please do not aportion blame to any religious or political group until we have all the facts. Remember, there are groups who have a lot to gain by "falsifying" an attack under their opponents name.
