I was wondering your opinions on who is gonna win the Caufield Guineas.

As much as I loved Bel Esprit winning me the dough last carnival I'm going for Great Glen. If Bel Esprit hadn't drawn a barrier out in the car park I might have gone differently.

Three grip ones, should be a good day of racing, pity I cant be there because of cricket.

Cricket season really should start second saturday in November.

Bloody horse racing...I'm sick of it already.

Can someone tell me why people are so sour & bitter about Collingwood making the Grand Final and all I feel is Pride.

BEL ESPRIT - I always back horses with my name in it. Have no clue on form, just like the names. You'd be surprised how many ponies come in for those of us that have no clues.

Rowdy, aka something Bell?

I am going to back against Bel Esprit. Bunker or Helenus, with Half Hennessy or Bel Esprit to get third.

Most of these horses are untried at 1600m. Not Helenus, Half Hennessy and Choisir.

There are all the rest of the good 2yo's from last autumn (in Sydney)?

Rule 1. Barrack for Collingwood
Rule 2. See rule 1.
Rule 3. There is no rule 3.

in all good conscience i could not put money, no matter how good, on a horse connected with kevin sheedy. its against my religion to support anything he's involved in. having said that, bel esprit is clearly the best in the field...hopefully the barrier draw will work against it.

Yeah, I have to agree with you there Ramjet. I would avoid backing Kevin Sheedy's horse unless I think it is a dead set cert (then it would be too short for me to back anyway). I do not think it is a dead set cert this time.

Well when it comes to Group 1 racing Damian Oliver is the king. Bel Esprit in my opinion is clearly the class runner in the field and has the best jockey in the race. Its been run down twice recently by Spinning Hill and Pernod but both are very good horses. Despite drawing out wide i think i will stick with Bel Esprit.

I also like Helenus and Cool Trent and All of Me. I think Newitt could be the surprise jockey of the Spring or Nikolic. Cool Trent is overdue for a good race and maybe tomorrow will be its day.

Whatever happens it should be a great race.

Essendon 2000 premiers
2001 runners up
2002 fifth
2003 ????

After doing the form and listening to the so called experts I will be taking the boring line of Bel Esprit, Helenus and Titanic Jack in my quaddie.Bel Esprit best of the leaders with Helenus just off the pace and Titanic Jack having the last crack at them.
