iron maiden really deserve much more respect.
Classic work here, this is how you do metal or hard rock, and damn this boy has a voice.

Fantastic song by Maiden Stui along with Two Minutes to Midnight and Aces High in my opinion. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Hell of a tune, probably the pick of the album. If it's not NOTB it's The Prisoner. 33 years, FMD where does the time go???
Best heavy rock producer of all time twiddling the dials helps immensely. Stunning bridging riff between the two solos, only comparison in Maiden's CV is the riff coming out of the solos on Revelations.
IMHO here's Maiden's best tune and one of the two best versions I've heard:

Not one of my Favs there Mountains magpie, it's good but not in my top list.
Apart from "Can I play with madness' which is a great tune and 2 minutes to midnight, flight of icarus and several others my favourite has to be Run to the hills.

I remember back in the early 90's talking to a young bloke I worked with who was a drummer in a band that if they ever did Run to the hills he'd know all about it. One time they did and he cam and told me how his arms were aching for ages.
Great tune to get fired up by, get the adrenalin pumping. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Yep, a bugger to play on guitar too. Pretty frenetic for sure.
The Trooper is also a belter but the real question is how did Iron Maiden end up doing a Skyhooks cover

One more for (er, from hehehe) the road. My fave from the Somewhere In Time LP:

That was like twilight zone or something. I thought it was a cover band for a few seconds, I only recognise Bruce Dickinson as an Iron Maiden lead singer. No one else can do the songs properly. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Time certainly hasn't been kind to 1980s (clothes) fashion, has it?
For one awful moment, I thought they were a Bay City Rollers tribute-band. (No, not the music - that's great - just the outfits). |

My son didn't like it either. He was still rumbling and grumbling about it when he went to band practice this morning. "Deeply disturbing" was his verdict. |
