Post subject: Jude Bolton for Nick DavisReply with quote

Seeing that N Davis wants to leave, I think the best player for us is Jude Bolton. He is a midfielder thats young and going to be great player. If we get Jude Bolton I'll be more than happy!

He could be the missing midfielder we need!

What do you think?

PS - Dont go for Adam Goodes....We dont need another tall forward who fills in the ruck once in a while!
He is not a true Ruckman!

bolton? nick's worth more than that. the problem with sydney is they have a shite list made worse with the departure of kelly, dunkley, lockett and schwass. they have a host of over-rated players such as saddington, oloughlin, seymour and bolton. matthew nick's has been mentioned - former vice captain of the swans but he's about 27-28 now i think and was actually dropped throughout the year. really not sure how we can win this trade without it beinga 3 or 4 way deal involving everitt or kane johnson coming to the pies.

Jude Bolton????? NO WAY .... He is an absolute goose.

If Collingwood HAS TO deal Nick Davis then they better get quality back.... and I also agree this may mean working a 3-way deal to pick up someone like a Kane Johnson. There's really no one at Sydney I'd want apart from Barry Hall and MAYBE Fosdike + high draft picks, that I'd consider for Davis.

Digs is your hook-up ....... hollar if ya hear me!

rumour today everitt is set to join essendon for caracella and heffernan. no idea how accurate this is. collingwood has been said to be interested in clark keating from brisbane, kane johnson, everitt or the tigers greg tivendale.

Bolton is a dud.
Even Sydney fans will tell you that.
I have watched him play most of his Sydney games. Forget him.
If Nick gets his way and gets to Sydney a trade will have to involve other clubs.

is a guy who has been prone to injury in the past worth Heath Scotland plus some money???? I thought we as a club stopped falling for three card tricks a few years ago. Also I throw my ring into the hat with the blokes who want the three way trade for Davis. Thats of course if he must go to Sydney and hook up with the rest of the cast of "Collingwood Survivor" (Schauble, Williams - Russell, Ahmat and Matthews have been voted off the Sydney Island).

You dont want Tivendale as he is a bit of a dud. Has no right foot and only plays well when Richmond are. Id rather keep Scotland any day.

Clark Keating would be a bonus as a couple years ago he was on fire. They didnt casll him Superman for nothing I doubt whether we would get him though.

Sydney does not have much too offer. I think a third club would need to get involved to reach an acceptable trade.

However id rather still keep Nick Davis

Essendon 2000 premiers
2001 runners up
2002 fifth
2003 ????
The slide continues

Jude Bolton - dud
Matthew Allen - Injury prone
Kane Johnson - Injury prone
Jason Saddington - Nothing we aint got in abundance
Clark Keating - Cmon, you reckon Brisbane will deal with us?
You really want discards from the Crows?
Sydney - Colless won't give us anything decent, only thing he will give Ed is the bird again.

Nick Davis is a prime example of a kid that is given everything. After they get it, they still want more. Collingwood have molly-coddled him since day one.

Heath Scotland is worth more to us in attitude and commitment than 2 Nick Davis'. Nick one day will look back at his life and wonder what might have been had he moved on in his head instead of looking & moving back.

Hard at it. The Collingwood way.

Tivendale? Hope that's a joke. We already have our token dud - Dimma.

I wouldn't mind Kane Johnson, but I don't think he is any more valuable than Heath Scotland. My opinion of Scotto has increased heaps this year. I'd prefer to keep him.

Brodie Holland trade bait? I tend to think so. He's our best card, alot of clubs are after a small foward. We could get a quality midfielder or even a ruckman (heaven forbid!) out of him.

I do hope there are not many changes to the playing list though. Two out (not including retirements) would be the max, and it appears Nicky Boy is one of them. We have a great team and I'm sure the Club want as little dispruption to that as possible. The only thing we need is a tap ruckman (I promise you, we will win more than 13 games with a ruckman who can to the ball to our rovers). Everitt or Keating should be a priority.

Goodbye Dolly I must leave you, though it breaks my heart to go,
Something tells me I am needed at the front to fight the foe,
See - the soldier boys are marching and I can no longer stay,
Hark - I hear the bugle calling, goodbye Dolly Gray.

GOOD OLD COLLINGWOOD FOREVER, WE KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME,
SIDE BY SIDE WE STICK TOGETHER, TO UPHOLD THE MAGPIES NAME.
SEE THE BARRACKERS SHOUTING, AS ALL BARRACKERS SHOULD,
OH, THE PREMIERSHIP'S A CAKEWALK FOR THE GOOD OLD COLLINGWOOD

Collingwood should try and get a first round pick out of Sydney for Nick Davis and then use that pick and give Saint the pick and Kinnear (atleast we'll get rid of a hack)for Spider, because apparently he wants to come to us

Our midfield is currently:
Buckley, OBree, Licuria, Burns, Lockyer, Lonnie, McGough.
Support from Scottland, Freebourne, Steinfort, L.Davis, Holland (if he stays), Adkins, Cole.

We don't need another midfielder.
We need a ruckman. Nothing else.

Hi, Swans fan here.
Just thought I'd drop over for an opinion from the other side

You can have Bolton for Davis.
Roos has basically said that we won't trade our 1 & 2 picks, but who knows what will happen when things get serious.

The other players I'd be prepared to see go would be McPherson and Bennett.
Not too many Swans fans I know think of Davis a s the 'star' that Eddie does.

Will be interesting to see how it all turns out

I htink Nicky suffered a lot from his early injuries this year, he definitly contributed, had a very good game against Adeliade, but he didn't take off like he could have.

he has the potential to be a champion, just that poise that very few players have. But he's not one atm.

We do'nt want any one from Sydney I dont think, so we're looking at a three way deal or draft picks I reckon the latter will probably be more likely and suffice.
