This rumour did the Hawks board a couple of weeks ago. Not much in it though. Actual word was Pies + big TV contract.
BTW, happy B/day Crawf! 28 today I think.

Read the Hun today. Article from Mike Sheahan about Crawford might be looking to move on because he has had minimal success (premiership wise) at Haawthorn.
Either Mike got a story on the internet (YET AGAIN) or there is some truth in it.

Why would anyone take notice of this slug. He comes on here regurgitating his crap just to get a bite. Ignore the **** wit. The turd follows Essenscum, what is he doing here anyway. It must be the only site of interest for him. I bet he is in love with Mrs Hirds little boy, Jimmy.
Only Collingwood people know what we feel - the rest will never understand.

Crawford has piss and shit all through him....he is most likely going to put his feelers out to get more money....but with Chickadee heading to Perth....the Hawks will pay big bucks to keep crawford.
Having said that if Collingwood pick up a player like that....we will beat our own record of four in a row~
GO PIES~

Crawford was never going to leave....i cant believe some people got so excited about him coming.....he was just after a nice little increase in his pay packet with Daniel Chick leaving. He just wanted to remind Hawthorn of his true value.

could we have even afforded him? heard MM say a few weeks ago that the pies were no where near the cap. anyone know how much we can(roughly) afford in this yr's trade deals with bucks, cloke, tarks etc all re-signing.

Ramjet, although MM says that we are a long way off the 100% of salary cap, the AFL has a rule that states ALL teams must s[end a minimum 95% of the cap.
I know that they have now made exceptions to that rule, roos etc at 92.5%, but even when we finished 16th, we were obliged to pay our hacks 95% of the salary cap.
We may not be spending anymore than 95% at the moment, but in reality we have 5% only to move. It's not much, but with Nicks departure, a little more will be freed up.
