For those with an interest, and a reliable VCR, the Gaelic Final is on tomorrow night (Tuesday 1st Oct) at 11:55pm on SBS. I don't know who's playing but it should be interesting nonetheless.

I've seen a couple of these, and they are truly interesting.
If you ever get the chance, check out the Irish game "Hurling". No it's not something you do after a night on the grog, but if you thought our game is tough check this madness out!

Just out of interest, who is the "collingwood" of the Gaelic league?

If there's a team that plays in black and white, the answer is obvious (unless of course that conflicts with our Irish Catholic heritage).

I'm no expert but I believe that in Ireland there is a separate club competition, as well as the County Championships. The latter is kinda like State Of Origin I suppose, and is the more important of the two, and has more tradition, seeing as players don't get payed and are really playing for the jumper.

Kerry are the dominant county, and they were in the final again this year.

However, if you don't want to know the result - LOOK AWAY NOW - they were beaten by Armagh (Northern Ireland) - their first ever win!!
