The war won't start in earnest until something like the following happens -
We win the first 5 home & away matches with a 10 goal win on Anzac Day then get rolled by Carlton the next week and Hiss returns to tell everyone 'how it is'. |

I loved the way supporters of teams like Richmond, Carlton..etc were slamming Dids and Heater with the accusation, "They are scum, they lied to Eddy!!"
I for One, didn't realize that Lying to Eddy Maguire was a Cardinal Sin to Carltank, 9thmond and Cats fans?

We can still bag Jack Ant! Wether He deserves it or not! (Peronally I love him and didn't appreciate the roasting some of Us gave him in the Geelong final! He wasn't totally responsible for that debarkle!
The guy I loved to bag more than ANY other was Guy Richards!otal waste of space once the ball was bounced. I have a memory of him syanding there looking at his bent finger as play went on around him!
When he was axed He actually thought that he would be picked-up in the Draft. Then he would show every-one that He really was a good(?) Ruckman!
I thought Fannning was a better chance of stepping up to the plate "IF" he was given a chance to develope, but he wasn't!
What gets my goat is all the rubbish posted on other forums and even the Hun about Rocca (Ant that is) being a crap player. We were smashed in the 2003 G-final because he clippied Lades ear in a marking contest. This/was worth 2 weeks if your a Magpie player on the eve of a Grand final. With-out Rocca we a rabble in the race for the 2003 flag.
Intersting foot-note for all you conspiracy theorists..... Brendon Lade was awarded "Best player of the 2003 finals series!" Was this becaue He ensured that Collingwood were not going to win against Brisbane?

Mind You, MnM's learn on job statagy with Jason Cloke at centre-1/2 forward wasn't one of his better ideas!
Giving Leon Davis to improve his stats from 12 months ago is another clanger! I can't remember if he got a touch that year or the on berfore!

I agree, to a point. He has done a lot to reverse the perceptiom that Collingwood is a Racist club, (Monkhurst-long, Nicky Wnmar lifting his Jumper at Vic Park and Alan Mc Al's statement that Aboriganlas are welcome at Coll' if they behave like white people do! (Pollute the Atmoshere), hang-on, I'm digressing!
He has thrilled us with his freakish Goal-kicking and inspirational play and astounding marking (not in September), alas! Still, Eddy dubbing him "NEON Leon" early in his career lead to expectations well ahead of his developemnet as a player. It wasn't just his fault that we lost to Geelong this year and it made me sick to the stomach the way he was "booed' by the lesser lights and un-informed of our barrackers! I'm glad he stayed and hope he can show what he is capable of now tht we have a ruckman and an inside middie that can get us first use of the ball. (No pun intended!)
