I suppose for the most part it depends on the day, and the area.
While we do not have full internet at home I have been introducing my sister to some movies, one such movie was The Legend of 1900. I still enjoy this movie. Since I first saw it, and every time after I see it I always wonder what it'd be like to grow up on an ocean liner. The tough task of trying to leave it after it was set to be sunk would be an interesting dilemma.
The music played in the movie also draws me to the movie, as well as Timothy Roth's performance. _________________ Ðavâgé

Creed. Pretty good except for the way too cheesy scene of the young Creed running through the streets with the dirt bike riders. I expect a bit of cheese in Rocky films but that scene jumped the shark.

Haha! Yeah I know, although I did say to junior "shit if a bunch of bikies do that to us when we are in Philly (July 2nd, yay!) I'll run faster than that!' _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Bloody brilliant, and Hugh Jackman (the coach with a fair bit of poetic licence!) is awesome in it, loved it. Laughed, cheered, cried! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

A really good Swiss film called The Middle of the World, about an aspiring politician's affair with an Italian waitress. Very low-key film mostly focusing on the nuances of their relationship, and very believable/sympathetic characters. One thing that led me to seek it out was that it was co-written by John Berger, the great British art critic and presenter of the famous '70s BBC series Ways of Seeing. WPT, I think this would be right up your alley.

Got pizza tonight, watched the last episode of Daredevil (damn, gotta wait another 12 months ) then went looking for a movie that the old girl wouldn't fall asleep in.
Put on Django Unchained. Haven't watched it for a while, damn good movie. Has to be one of tarantino's best.
Washed down the pizza with a bottle of Lolea Sangria and the old girl was wide awake and alert the whole way through the movie. Did I mention it's damn good? _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I still have yet to see Django Unchained even though I have it in my room on DVD, well I did have, may have to check again and watch it. Hopefully it wasn't apart of a few that got borrowed from my place.
But last night I watched Drowning Mona with Danny DeVito, Bette Midler, Jamie-Lee Curtis, Neve Campbell and Casey Affleck. Also Will Ferrell makes an appearance as the funeral director.
"The recently deceased Mona Dearly (Bette Midler) was many things: an abusive wife, a domineering mother, a loud-mouthed neighbor and a violent malcontent. So when her car and corpse are discovered in the Hudson River, police Chief Wyatt Rash (Danny DeVito) immediately suspects murder rather than an accident. But, since the whole community of Verplanck, N.Y., shares a deep hatred for this unceasingly spiteful woman, Rash finds his murder investigation overwhelmed with potential suspects."
It was actually a good movie, picked it up from Cash Converters the other day as it had Danny DeVito, Bette Midler and Neve Campbell in it. I wasn't expecting much from it but I liked the movie. I also watched Big Stan before it last night, a corny comedy but I didn't mind that either. _________________ Ðavâgé

Watched Captain Phillips last night and really enjoyed it. Its a hollywood version of a true story and a bit romanticised but well worth a watch.
Tom Hanks is good in the title role and the Somali actors are excellent.
Agree with the comments above about Django. I also think its one of Tarantino's best. I particularly like the over-the-top shootout at the end. _________________ Side by side. |

I was impressed they didn't have him run up the steps to the Rocky statue! That would've been melted cheese!!
