Should have put this post here:

18/9/2010
Blacktown Olympic Park
Syd Uni 15, 9, (99)
East Coast Eagles 15, 3, (93)

Best On Ground: A. Yakimov, M. Hartley, M. Krochmal, H. Orr, N. Perry, T. Barrett
Goal Scorers: N. Perry 4, G. Robbie 3, D. Knight 2, T. Aitken 2, T. Barrett , M. Hartley , N. Lewington , T. Considine

Not sure if this has been mentioned but along with Scott Reed and Tom young it looks like we may be doing pretty well out of the NSW program.

This was the result from this yrs under 18 grand final and unless somthing has changed Yakimov, Hartley and Perry are all on our list. Reed has played some good footy forward and back and Young played some great footy for a young bloke in the VFL this year.
Was also talking to a bloke who had seen Elijah Edwards play a fair bit and said the kid is a freak... Looks like our list is in very good shape for now and the future... Go Pies!!

How old is Elijah Edwards? Is he 15 or 16?

I saw some footage of him last year. Boy can the kid move.

Great disposal by foot. Looks to be quite a "solid" boy already, given time with a full time trainer at Collingwood he could develop into a big unit.

Looks very promising.

Collingwood has also put giant teenage ruckman Jarrod Witts straight onto the senior and not the rookie list suggesting it expects him to play at the top level early next season.

So we can play Freo and Saindlands won't have much if any Height Advantage Wink

Regarding the NSW Scholarship list, Perry, Parson and Camilleri have all moved on. Carracher and Yakimov are still listed by the club as scholarship holders on the website.

I've heard Derek Hine talk about Carracher possibly being listed by us this year, but does anyone know about Yakimov?

Have not heard much about our NSW sholarship players or Irish lads for a while,
has anyone had an update on any NSW or Irish kids we will put onto senior/rookie list this year?

Pretty sure the NSW Scholarship program got scrapped when GWS was born. We can keep the existing ones but no new ones.

any word on the potential of these existing ones?
One or two should be up for listing this year, no word on them yet so doesnt sound like they will be drafted.
