If we were designing a calendar then i would understand the need for the female supporter to have Crawford at the Club. However from a football perspective i dont think that we need him. I would rahter go for Paul Haselby or oe one of the Longmuir brothers. I dont want any players being recruited from other clubs and being overpaid just to get them to our club. Its not fair on the other players who have earnt their stripes and done the hard yards. I would much rather pay the likes of Licuria and Burns more money as they bleed black and white.

I dont want players who are purely coming for more money. Thats not what we as a club are about

ATM the Pies may offer him a realistic chance, moreso than the Hawks who appear to need another rebuild.

I still wouldnt want him at the club. There are many other players i would rather get ahead of Crawford. Well Buckley could have easily left many years ago as he too wanted Premiership medal as does every player that plays the game. That is why you play football afterall. However Bucks was loyal and showed faith in our club.

Maybe Crawford should do the same ??

Chick says his leaving to go to another club. I think Crawford is testing Hawthorn to get more money as suddenly more room has opened up on the salary cap. I would be very surpised if he left.
Pies Premiers mentioned this in another topic and i think he is spot on.

Chick has left Hawthrown, and his in the united state and his @ no club at the moment. he wants 2 join fero or west coast.

JLC mayb u have a point there, but i heard this speculation around 1 wk that he wants 2 join the magpies, i could b wrong, or i could b right, if he does join collingwood it will b good for our young players e.g: MCG , Cole, Cloke ( lil one thats coming up next year) and if bucks doesnt have a good day u can always get crawford havin a good day.. and i personally think if he was at a club like collingwood , he would get more of the ball then he gets at hawthrown

My understanding is that a player is contracted to a club until 30 October, which means that Chick can be traded by Hawthorn.

If no deal can be secured, he becomes uncontracted as of November 1.

I would take Crawford for sure.

He is a Brownlow medallist and has been sensational this year. An An-Austrlian selection easily.

Obree is an absoloute gun. I would not trade him. People forget too easily how brilliant Obree was last year. Very disappointing how quickly we forget.

Chick was interviewed on ch.10 news at the airport before flying to N.Y. for services commemorating his Brother-In-laws death last Sept.11.
He said he wants the Hawks to trade with either W.A. team.
You are quite right about player contracts. He will need to be traded or go in the draft which does not guarantee a club or state.
