Blair is a week or two away from playing again. He's got a minor injury.

absolutely pathetic ...we have the assistance of a "200kph gale" and they still do dinky little passes ...and Clark 50 metres out, kicks backwards and we end up turning it over...the legacy of the Malthouse defensive style of play..

I went down for the first half and it was ordinary. The conditions were terrible but one side seemed to be far smarter than the other in using it. When the pies had the breeze they were indirect and indecisive the exact opposite to the scorpions who banged long whenever they could.

Some observations-
Our attack on the footy was terrible, we stood and waited for someone else to do something.
Ben Reid's disposal was poor but that is harsh as so was everyone else trying to bring the ball out of defence early. They tried to keep it low and it just ended up spearing to the opposition.
Barham is quick and get's his hands on it but he makes poor decisions which when added to his skill level means that he turns it over often.
Corrie was a waste of whatever draft pick we used for him.
Dawes is a good footballer but he needs the ball kicked to him!
Scott Reed was impressive in patches.
Johnson monstered our rucks but he was assisted by the fact that the ball never went straight up. His body size just meant he pushed past to the ball.
Marty seemed lost. His direct running football was not supported by his team mates and I wonder how much this spell in the VFL is helping his game.

if he cant kick after 3yrs with the club why did we use pk.8 on him?

Marty learnt to kick in 18mts!

I think reid was given a bit of a bath by the hands-in-the-back umps, stupid rule, stupidly applied as well.
