URGENT WESTERN BULLDOGS MEDIA ALERT
All media are invited to attend an extremely important media announcement that will be made today by the Western Bulldogs Football Club:

When: Tuesday 27 August
Time: 2.30pm
Where: President's Room, Level 2, Tabaret Building, Whitten Oval

Apparently it will be announced that Terry Wallace has quit...good timing! Wasn't his first match as coach against us?

If that is true Kristin, it could work against us - as you would know, when a coach quits the team usually win!

Im hopeful it works the other way. Normally if a coach is sacked the players are effectively puton notice and as such rise, however in this situation the coach doing a runner (possibly to Carlton) may leave them rudderless. Either way it takes the focus off us , and more on the Bulldogs prior to the match on Saturday

Oh, I was being sarcastic when I said 'good timing'!!! I think it'll fire them up even more against us, not that it matters too much I guess (though I would like to go into the finals with another win under our belt).

I can confirm Terry Wallace and the Western Bulldogs will be parting company this afternoon. This has been common knowledge in some circles for at least a month now but was only made public this morning.

Khartoum, he is citing personal reasons - do you know any more about this? Also, the word is he's going to Carlton.

Kristin,

I'm aware of the reasons behind Terry's decision and have a pretty sound idea regarding his future path. However, I'm not comfortable posting these just at the moment. I'll consider putting something up later in the week.

I don't understand why he would announce it now, with just one more game to go??? Surely this could have waited til next week.

The puppies are in debt up to their rectum. I bet they wanted him to take a pay cut.

Let the Scraggers fire up. After all, this is their "Grand Final". We've got bigger fish to fry.

I'm actually going to tip against us this week because I reckon we'll be less motivated than them. I just hope Molloy gets a guernsey and manages to get into the swing of things a bit.

I honestly don't care if we win or lose this week. A win would be fun, but I'd be a bit worried if our players went out there hell-bent on winning at all costs. This game is a dead rubber.

I'll say a big hello to Wayne Brittain when I see him at the dole office next week. I'd say The Plough is joining the Navy. Hellooooooooo, Sailor.

Confirmed on Channel 7 news about an hour ago.

There is a rumour (and you guys normally know how true rumours are) that there was a fight between Wallace and one of the top players on the weekend.
