Subject Enough said!
without sounding gay LOL I just love this guy. Same goes for Didak!
We always put Bucks and Burns (and others) in the list of currect players who play for the jumper (love of the club) But I recon Lonie and Didak have showed it to! Go F@#cken pies!!!

How often have we seen Lonie kick a crucial goal against an opposition team devoted to negativity and dragging the game down to their own level.
Our number one Flood Buster Extraordinaire.
There was a strong hint of collusion about the way that game was played. I often talk about suspected corruption in footy ... and yesterday's game had all the hallmarks of a "boat race" gone wrong.
You had St.Kilda playing a game of Floodball. And you had umpires who suddenly decided to go back to the 1960s, by not paying any free kicks for scragging. This played completely into St.Kilda's hands. It enabled them to negate us all day. In the dying moments it all looked set for a repeat of the 1966 Grand Final ... a St.Kilda goal would have made the scores almost identical to that shiteful day so long ago.
Then along came Ryan Lonie ... and class prevailed in the end.
I might get sued for plagiarism here ... but what the heck ...

Yes, Ed. I've been hearing a lot of whingeing to the effect that Reiwoldt should have got a free kick. It was up the other end from where I was, so I can't comment ... except to say that the umpires seemed to paying nothing all day ... 1960s style, like I said ... and it would seem a little inconsistent to suddenly "find" a convenient free kick in front of goal at that stage of the game.
Any thoughts?

Yeah Lonie's goal was a ripper! After an injury riddled pre-season and a touch of (what looked like) the 2nd year blues for a while there Ryan has come on in leaps and bounds in the last few weeks...there's a boy who wants to play in finals! And your thoughts on Didak? WELL......You don't have to tell me he's all that and more

The best thing about Didak is his goal sense. Everything around goals comes naturally to him and he seems to be able to choose the right option most of the time. Similar to Daicos in the way that Daicos could sum up the situation in a split second and choose the right option or improvise when going for goal.
Ryan Lonie when in form is a crucial player in ourback half as he is a natural ball carrier. Prevously i thought the player who had the best ability in breaking the lines was Licuria. Hopefully we can play a bit straighter instead of always going out wide. When we do this i think we will improve even more.

Hey Ed, I remember the 1965 2nd Semi. It kind of got swamped by the bad memory of 1966 but THAT one point loss probably cost us the 1965 flag. And, it was after that game that Bobby Rose suggested that he might be bad luck for Collingwood in finals.
On a happier note, you know what Tim Lane now calls Alan Didak?
It's DEADLY DIDAK. I like it!

Didak is gonna be a star...Forget the Lonie goal...I was going off when Nick Davis put us in front deep into the last. My shoulder is still sore from the fist pumps.
