No mention of Scott Reed. Him and Bennell must of been injured.

A quick rundown, apologies if this has been repeated elsewhere:

From the backline...

Cox - was ok in the first quarter before going off with what looked like, in all likelihood, a broken leg. Went off on crutches with the leg strapped, but apparently it's only bone bruising.

Thoolen - outpointed one on one on a few occasions, but has improved on last year. Often gets in a bit of trouble when he loses contact with his man when the ball's in flight one on one. Licca likened him to Presti on the Club website.

Blight - not as prominent as last week, but still had moments of obvious class.

Goldsack - again, not prominent, apart from the final quarter when he went forward in what looked like a defensive-forward role.

Reid - solid, marked really well, shanked a shocker in front of goal, but looked the goods in defence. In a really solid form pattern ATM. Consistent performer every week.

Dyas - got a bit more of it this week, played mainly out of the back pocket.

Peverill - very good. Set the tone onball. Handpassing/composure under pressure is sublime.

Dawes - easily his best for the year. Was against Hawks first-year Lisle, marked really well one on one, and played with some real confidence. With Cloke out will come in this week you'd assume (or at least be on the cusp).

Cook - won heaps of it across halfback, doesn't panic in traffic.

Bryan - again, his best for the year. Looks handy leading out of the square. Didn't ruck much, if at all.

Wood - close to BOG for mine. Improved as the match wore on, but did put four quarters of good football together. Fraser being fit or not, he should play (IMO).

Dick - quiet, chased hard, but not overly prominent.

Pendlebury - again, very good. Played forward on occasions from memory. Still should have aspirations for AFL next year.

Colbert - very good second half onball under the packs.

Francis - good again. Not as busy as previous weeks, but still quite good.

Keefe - one of his best four qtr efforts in the ruck/around the ground. All things considered has progressed really well.

Blair - one of our top few, again. Huge wrap for this guy. Under the packs etc is terrific. Tackles brilliantly for his size. Disposal is good at worst, IMO. Could make it in the big league.

Rounds - quiet. May not have quite caught onto the tempo as yet, but nothing to worry about. Playing mainly as a tagger/back pocket atm.

Sheahan - was on the bench for the first half, quiet when on. Didn't look out of place, though. First gamer.

Frost - 30+ touches, playing as a high HF. In some really good form.

Walker - first gamer, got better as it wore on, big left foot kick.

Hunt - again, really impressive. Sticks his head over it, seems to be pretty fit, and disposal is good.

Great win by the side, looking like things are falling into place.

I found it strange that he was not named in the 1's!

Especially since Cloke and Rocca are out.

Ive been very keen on seeing Dawes in the side this year. He was very good in the final against Adelaide last year, but we are yet to see him in '09.
