So is Rusling playing or not?
According to this mornings Herald Sun he is, but he isn't in the side posted by the The Collingwood Turtle.

That's a pretty exciting team. I'm looking forward to seeing how Dawes goes against Cloke.

Is on the wing under the coaches box still the best place to sit?

The Doggies must be travelling alright, obviously they are, to have Giansiracusa in the seconds. Or is he returning from injury?

Dissapointing game.

Got there half way through the first and left half way through the last.

Thought Dawes looked good in his movement. lead hard, bought others into the game with passing and good hands. Don't know how many goals he got, at least 2 I thought, maybe more.

Lurch had nice hands in the ruck on several occasions, tried to do a bit around the ground, took a couple of nice marks. Not a great game but serviceable.

Interesting Bear didn't ruck at all except a few times when it was in the forward line. Him and Dawes played as the 2 key forwards and Keefe changed in the ruck with lurch. Keefe is a seriously big unit, looks bigger in the body than Lurch when they stand side by side.

BTW, Bear did some reasonable work playing as a key forward. Didn't chase and tackle or move anywhere near as well as Dawes but he did present pretty well.

Most of the midfield didn't impress me, they kept trying to do too much and either ran into trouble or turned the ball over with dodgy handpasses or short kicks.

Stanly was probably my pick of all of them. Goes at the ball flat stick, has a bigger body than most of them and was the only one who seemed to have some mongrel in him.

Final point on the venue. It sux. The last time I went to princess park was to see the Fenech Nelson fight. The legends stand has you looking straight into the sun and the whole ground looks more dilapidated than Vic Park by a long way.

Tick to the guys manning the gate and the girls in the bar though, all very friendly and did a great job.

I'll be back another time.

Haven't been to a two's game for a couple of years but rocked up today. Didn't know all the players, esp young newbies and was too tight to buy a record.

Dawes and Bryan looked pretty good up forward. Bryan is definately a fwd, not a ruck.

Sidebottom is no Beams, in that he's not about to step straight into senior footy and look like he fits in. As someone posted last week he looked a little like a boy among men, which he probably is. Needs time to develop

Stanley looks like a man among boys, runs hard, presents, and is one of the teams best playes, but he hasn't got what it takes to have any impact at senior level. Think Pendles, then think the opposite in terms of vision, time, disposal. Good VFL player, that is all.

Chris Egan > Corrie and Dick. All class at this level but his time has passed.

Wood took some fine marks, mainly in defense but otherwise I didn't notice him. Bryan > Wood in terms of presence and influence and who I would rather have in team. But as I noted earlier Bryan <> Ruckman.

Sorry but I can't comment on the rest of the guys as my eye is not yet trained to notice who they are and make mental notes accordingly.

<EDIT> Sorry, Cook was very good around the ground, composed and looked a class above generally. Cook > Stanley in terms of who ought to play seniors.

That's the little bloke? Looked like a primary school kid out there.

Did a few goodish things but like the others ran himself into trouble. I think there's something there to work with, just not yet.
