Post subject: Didak...a match winner?? | |
|
Just want to express how extremely pleased I am with the performance from Daks! I honestly believe that he was the difference in the last half. After spending most of the first benched, he really had an impact in the last half and was possibly the match winner. Unfortunately he did spray a few but the endeavour was certainly not lost on me. I have been a huge fan of his since he came to the club and have been waiting for him to stamp his authority on a game and I think he started to show genuine signs of his enormous ability last night! Well done Alan, a terrific performance! Just also have to add, one snap he had from the boundary that unfortunately bounced the wrong way was very Daic's like and that got me excited!!

Very impressed with "Daks".
Great nickname ... "Daks" ... a bit like "Pants" ... and a bit like "Daics" ... Great name for a Collingwood player.
I said this on another topic, but I'll say it again here ...
If we are less than a goal down ... in a Grand Final ... after the siren ... with a set shot for goal ... the player I'd most like to have the ball would be ...
... DAKS !

Shannon Grant was dragged in the last quater for not paying Daks enough respect. When I watched the game on TV after getting home from the game one of the Ten commentators (Crisso I think) said that Daks ended up being the difference in the two sides. His set shots from 35 to 45 out are good but I much prefer him to be 50 out and on the run.

Thought Didak's game might cause you to pop your head up again Magpira!!
Definately his best for the club so far. Liked Cole's efforts in the 2nd half too - great to see some talented kids coming through - gives me great confidence!!

Daks was good. Like most of you I have been watching and waiting for him to rip one open. Also watch out for another really good kid, Tom Davidson this boy can seriously play.

Is he (Didak) still eligible for a Rising Star nomination. I think so.
Rule 1. Barrack for Collingwood
Rule 2. See rule 1.
Rule 3. There is no rule 3.

LOL Pants! I have been biding my time ever so patiently . He is a STAR!!
Also in response to Greg J, yes he is still eligible as he only played 5 games last season, but I think Reiwoldt has it in the bag!

Guys,
I reckon with a little more luck he could have kicked 6. This was his best game for the pies to date, and he will only get better...Look out for the media circus jumping on the Daks bandwagon in the coming weeks!

He (Didak) does not like to pass the ball once he is about 50m out from goal.

Greg: I think you're right about Didak not wanting to pass from about 50m but i don't think he should. His kicking on the run from 50 is superb, one of the best I've seen for a while. His set shots are good but lack something compared to being on the run.

Dak's distance is about 55! What are u tryin to say GregJ? That we have the second coming of Kevin (hungry) Bartlett in the form of Alan Didak No in all seriousness, anyone that can kick from 50+ or certain distances thereabouts should have a ping, unless of course there is someone inside 50 who is free
