Bloody monday night i finally get a look at the game.
1st qtr a running tale of wastefulness.
Bucks does a new dance and rushes a point to start the game,a swans point that is.
we turn over the kick in and plugger marks but ump says no it was touched.ball up.who touched it no one knows,but they pay a charity to the swans a second later and they goal.
3 minutes in 7 nil to them.A rush point and a leon goal and 4 minutes in its all square.
then we just have the ball on a string,series of passes all hiting the targets.
Obree to Didak to Brodie GOAL
Obree to Brodie to Rocca POINT
Cloke to Molly to Rocca POINT
Lockyer snaps Point
then as so often happens the swans goal from the kick in.
Clement has a running shot from 50 OOF
Didak to Lika to Taz POINT
Schwass is confused at the kick in so ump bounces it down and Molly soccers a GOAL
Freeza steals the footy off a swan and handballs to Burns who goals thanks to a strong shepherd from Molly.
McKee is on the end of a series of hanballs runs into open goal POINT.
Wakes to Bucks to Burns GOAL
Bucks is on end of string of passes,snaps POINT.
Brodie marks the KIck in POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Taz runs intowards goal and muffs the kick,brodie picks up the ball and snaps a POINT.
we turn 39-13 up but game over! should be what the score board is showing.
2nd qtr
As so often happens when a side squanders opportunities the other mob fight back and dont miss a shot.
instead of us leading and hitting targets the players are kicking to players that are standing still,subsequently turnovers appear,swans kick 2 goals from 2 shots,wevery time we go forward we kick to schauble.
he is running off his man and kicks 3 goals for the qtr as well as holding up our advances.
45 all at the half.
a game that was over is now back all square.
f or mine Mckee was our best player up to half time and i dont know why but he didnt get seen again.
Wakes has killed Lockett and Presti has done a good job on Hall,but the forwards had a lazy qtr.
3rd term
we start off ok, Rocca takes a strong mark 30 out POINT.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,this is starting to shit me to tears.
somehow a couple of high lobs from kooyong land on the MCG turf,dont need tennis balls here so they are chucked in the bin.
we become turnover champeens of the league as swans make us pay with 2 goals and luckily miss a cupla more.
sydney seem to be more intense at the ball at the moment,
against the flow of play Rocca marks and gets it to leon who snaps truly.
Swans snap one back almost straight away and then Plugger gets a kick at last and goals as presti tries to pull him down.
Hall marks and luckily a bit of our wastefulness is rubbing off and he misses a sitter,from the kick in Leon ends up with it and goals
70-58 down at the last change.
final qtr
From the opening bounce we have appeared to have returned to the first qtr side and system.
was the 2nd and 3rd just testing something else out?

Cloke stema from the centre kicks to Taz on the lead.MARK>>>>GOAL
Taz marks and Goals again and its all even again.
Swans go forward and plaugger gets his 2nd kick for the night and snaps what would have been a goal had johnno not touched it on the line.
Didak then kicked one from 50 on the run a la the bloke he replaced in the side.
leon gets a free,Taz leads ,marks GOAL.
Now its time for joshs weekly last qtr ruck party trick as he grabs the throw in and snaps to goal,this time TAZ GRABS IT AND SINKS IT THRU.
5 MINUTES TO GO WE LEAD BY 17.
Burnsy hanballs to a running leon who kicks a GOAL,one millimeter from the line.
surely we are home now
from the bounce schauble marks and kicks a POINT,we turn over the kick in and Schauble kicks a GOAL.
We muck around with it turn it over and swans goal again.
geeezzz how long is 5 minutes,wheres that siren.
AHHHHHHH there it is. home by 10 in a strange performance.
1st and final qtrs bore no resemblance at all to the 2nd and 3rd.

Great review Ed. And you're right - it was a case of watching two completely different matches in one! Q1 & Q4 were the Pies we all know and love (with the exception of our bad kicking for goal!) but don't know where they went in Qs 2&3!

And Burnsy? Now that guy is a true champion!
