Magpies are World Champions!!!!!!

So the New York Magpies just won the 2014 USA Football League National Championship. Fittingly, the magpies beat the bombers from Orange County in the Grand Final).

Given the naming protocol in the USA, I think that makes us the official World Champions!

I think it happened in 1988. we beat Hawthorn in Miami, the second time we beat Hawthorn in a grand final of any description, and since the concept was abandoned for lack of interest we are still world champions.
