May miss a 4-6 according to a post at another place

In an incident this weekend Nathan Buckley, after being best on ground for a quarter and a half, was dramatically slung into a combination of fence, a chair and concrete well after he had disposed of the ball.

The sling was a typical 360 swing around and release, well after the ball was disposed.. The players on the boundary right beside the fence. Buckley is placed on the bench and his hand in ice takes no further part in the game.

Buckley, the Pies number one midfielder, will now miss 4 to 6 weeks of football.

No report has been laid!!!

How does the AFL respond?

The incident did occur as I saw it myself, Powell was the one who pushed him into the bench, so maybe something in it

Post from the Aussie Rules newsgroups by a good Pie man named Booger, not a troll

For a man with a busted hand, his interview with miss Malthouse on the ground at matches end, would be a miracle.
No sign of pain, hands on hips. how do you do that with a broken hand?

It WAS Bucks who got slung into the fence, but he couldn't have broken his hand and played the rest of the match - MM would've taken him off cause there was no need for him to play

Funny how the exact same incident happened in Brissy as well. Someone did break his hand, forget who.

Bucks did not break anything, total bullshit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That St Kilda player, Hayes I think it was, against Brissy suffered a broken hand in the 2nd Quarter.

Well, naturally he came straight off and didn't come back on for the entire game.

If my meomery serves me right, the "alleged" incident happened when Bucks went into the interchange bench. That was at the end of the 3rd, or it might have been early in the 4th. Either way, he continued playing. Had it been the suspected broken hand, he would have came straight off (like Hayes did) and it would be all over AFL.COM and in the news.

Its crap.

Buckley has been poor for three weeks, the man is on crack

I personally think he is carrying some sort of injury he has so much more to do this season and the best is yet to come from Bucks, he might need a rest I don't know I'm not Malthouse but that one week break couldn't come at a better time for Buckley. He is a champion and us winning when he has been playing poor has been the most positive sign.

Also well done Chris Tarrant you thucken beauty passed the 5 goal mark with 7 big ones that would have sent those 13 year old girls that follow Melbourne home crying.

that scum powell did sling him into the interchange bench but there was no injury. however reported on the incident is getting confused - lenny hayes was slung into the fence v brissy on sunday and busted his hand. bucks wont miss.

Damn lucky it was only Mick Malthouse and Balmey sitting on the bench when Bucks was slung into it.
If Eddie had been sitting there he would have kicked the crap out of the little blue & red scumbag!
