Wakes now has a chance for revenge coz Plugger has been recalled for the game at Colonic Stadium.
Sydney also welcomed back vice-captain Andrew Dunkley from injury and promoted Scott Stevens and Ryan O’Keefe with Gerard Bennett, Nick Fosdike, Brett Kirk and Daniel McPherson all omitted.

Oh splendid!
Oh Joffa! I expect you and the magpie army to give Mr.Lockett a very nice reception and to treat him with great respect and dignity! Can I trust you to do that Mr.Joffa?

I hope the AFL does the sensible thing and makes sure that Sydney do not do their pre-match warm up in front of the Collingwood Cheer Squad ... I've got a horrible feeling there will be some sort of altercation if that fat piece of crap comes within earshot of us. I can see one or two of our ... shall we say, more "exhuberant" members doing the divvie van walk-of-shame.
I sincerely hope it won't happen ... but I really think it will.

yeah, good point Alf. it could get a bit ugly, especially if lockett decides he'll nearly jump the fence like that brisbane player (chris scott?) the other week.
i have absolutely no idea why the AFL makes the opposition team warm up in front of us. makes no sense.

Yeah, Foxy. That Brisbane player was getting a bit worked up. I almost thought he was going to do a "Hardwicke" on us.
Actually, I reckon the only thing that stopped that situation from getting completely out of hand was the presence of Craig Starcevich. He calmed us down a bit just by having a laugh and a chat with us. The guy should join the Foreign Affairs Department as a diplomat, I reckon.

The sad thing is Pluggers not carrying too much extra weight anymore - saw him last week, he was still crap, but he was thin crap! I can't believe he's in their best 22, it's a bit poor, obviously a marketing ploy. Unless he's there to bring up some young full forward or help hall lead properly (ala Brereton - Sav)- which he does pretty well anyway - I think he's a waste of the AFL I mean Sydney's money.

Great to see the Wonder Pig have an absolute blinder tonight. In fact he was so dazzlingly brilliant tonight that I didn't actually see him do anything useful, except that totally-out-of-his-fat-arse goal that he kicked right in front of the Cheer Squad.
What a liability that guy is to his team. Schauble must be so pissed off. He played probably the greatest game of his career only to be let down by some useless hack who used to be a fooballer ... last century, apparently ... A few old timers reckon he wasn't a bad player. Not in the same league as Coventry or McKenna, but they reckon he was all right ... once.
How do you feel, Plugger?
You cost Sydney the game with your cronic inability to do anything useful when the ball came your way. What a complete dud you are.
You are Warwick Capper ... without the charisma.

Hey Alf,
was that you in the front row of the cheersquad that gave Leon a hug when he kicked that goal at the end that sealed it?

I feel sorry for Lockett. In spite of what others might think, i think he's an out and out champion - in the early 90s we all thought Sav was going to be the next lockett did we not- pity Sav wasnt as nasty. 2 years off for a guy that didnt do much in his last year was a big ask, and well its turned out to be a failure really. The best thing about him playing against us was that he took barry hall out of the action and stuffed his game up to the point where he was nearly useless. I can't see him playing much because of the effect on hall's game.
Hard at it. The Collingwood way. |
