The cowards are the ones who convince these poor sods to do it and strap explosives onto intellectually disabled people. |
Agree stui, makes you wonder. If it's all they say it's cracked up to be, why don't the people giving directives go out and splatter themselves? _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Interesting, what would you call him? |
Mass Murderer might be on the money. |
Who, George W? |
I wasn't aware we were discussing George W, Frank. I thought we were discussing suicide bombers. My mistake.
btw, everyone, give Omar a break. At least he believes in something (i.e. making the world a better place), and is willing to try to do something about it. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

In some cases I agree with Sheriffe. However, some extreme left ideals are just not plausible. _________________ All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Some of you are so lame. Really.
I've been playing tennis, working, and catching up with friends and ... someone else the past few days. Glad that you're all so interested.
I think it is far braver to be a suicide bomber than to sit in a tank, a plane, a warship, or an officers' tent. That said, I don't support any of their actions.
Stui, you're kidding yourself if you think that these people are totally sure and brainwashed prior to their self-destruction... they're human beings with doubts and fears just like everyone else.
Watch the film "Paradise Now", it's a fantastic mini-biography of 2 Palestinians who are to blow themselves up in the coming days. Really, an incredibly poignant film. _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. When I rise it will be with the ranks... - Eugene Debs |

I agree Sherrife. Go back a page or two. As i Said i think it would take a lot of courage. As I said the act is cowardice, as well as war is a cowardice act.
But using mentally challenged to complete the deed really is pure evil, and would not matter if it was palestinians or not. Would you agree? _________________ All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Suicide bombing is not really an act of cowardice. But not all acts of courage are a good thing.
It takes courage to punch someone in the face during a fight.
It takes courage to perform a bank robbery.
It takes courage to kill someone.
Admittedly, suicide bombing is one of the most courageous methods of mass murder I have heard of.
Does that make it any more justifiable? Not really. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

I thought we were discussing cowards; like the cowards who sit in the comfort of a US Destroyer in the Indian Ocean and fire Cruise missiles from 10,000 kilometers away at buildings in Baghdad and when one hits an office full of public servants, call it Collateral Damage.
That is a coward and so is the person who ordered it

Frank, how hard is it for you to admit that suicide bombing is a horrible act that deserves condemnation?
Seems you'd rather divert the conversation to targets you feel more comfortable in attacking. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
