I went to the South Melb V Melb Victory pre season game at Bob Jane Stadium last year with a few Victory lads, the match was marred by crowd trouble during & after the match, It's safe to say clubs like South Melb & Melb Knights will never be introduced into the A-League which is a good thing.

they always delt with crowd trouble better than the others what i should of said was if it isnt a consortium then south melbourne is the ebst chance of being the only old vic club from teh NSl to come up.
But yes south had as much trouble as the others not quite preston but alot in any instance.
To answer why all had racial problems, most of the clubs were generated by ethnic groups and were run by elders from that area that is why the QLD roar now wear some ducth orange from origin (dutch influnce in QLD soccer for a long time), in the VPL I think its Macedonia with with the ground near reservior station and so on so theer was always racial tension.
The a league is doiung well as it has mostly broken from this, well except for some melbourne brigades and some sydney followers tend to be the worse

if t south or the knights can clean themselves up their a chance but yeah i spose a new consortium is a better chance
