Bah humbug PP.
He was sitting on his fat arse doing nothing and decided the way to get a few more bums on seats at his concerts was to take up the drought cause.
Plenty of others who have done a lot more for the country over an sustained period of years that are more worthy.

Could be a good call, but do you think he is as undeserving as Pat Rafter when he won?

Totally agree.

It might not be realistic, but I would enjoy living in a world where celebrities didn't exist, and magazines like New Idea and the tabloids were out of business.

But then we wouldn't have people like Lillian Frank or Richard Wilkins Sad

Clarification: I'm not saying that these magazines should be banned, or people should be banned from reading them, but simply that if there were no celebrities, these magazines wouldn't exist. Or is it the other way around....? Shocked

This is my exact point - I love watching films, and of course I love watching football as well.

However, my enjoyment of a film is not remotely dependent on an interest in the personal lives of the actors or director, just as I support Collingwood without needing to know about Dale Thomas' latest haircut.

I have every faith, that given time and opportunity you will turn it into something about you, Tess. Wink
