I saw an interview with Muir, about how he came to play VFL and what he went through.
Very skillfull player and natural athlete when allowed to show it but cursed with a hair trigger temper and a victim of the times. With appropriate guidance he could have been a lot more than top billing in the "biffs and brawlers" DVD's.

A few years back, he was appointed coach in the preseason of Corio FC, supposed biggest recruting coup in GDFL history, with bigg money being paid! Anyway, He drank him self stupid in the preseason, punched on on & off the field. NO team wanted to play them in the preseason, they had to go interstate for games. He was sacked by round 2, with charges pending for a mexican stand off at a pub with 10 police.
Charges later dropped, He left town, Corio FC never been the same since.
He's a thug & drunk with a big chip on his shoulder.

What a load of crap, about 3 years ago Muir was with some other idiots who stood at M10 for a Collingwood Friday night game i forget who we we're playing anyway Muir and his fellow imbeciles contiuned to throw abuse at every Collingwood player calling tham f****** weak c**** for the entire first half eventually a bloke told him to piss off (I don't think he knew who he was) anyway Muir exploded and grabbed the bloke to the ground eventually the red coats broke it up Police we're called in and more or less a dozen people told the Police to kick him out because he was there to cause trouble, he left.
Then a few weeks later he was in court in Ballarat for a rape charge ....Yeah real role model 
A thug of player and a ordinary bloke.

I don't know who this bloke is (before my time), but I would like to see the melee rule dissolved. It is a farce that in a full contact sport that wrestling is reportable, also its utter bs the double suspension in a gf the 04 GF was probably the best GF as a nuetral ive seen for a while.
The last 3 years lacked the physicality imo they were more like a final than a win at all costs GF, 05 and 06 were boring for 1st 3 and a half quarters only the last 15 mins got interesting becuase of the score line.
