21/10/12: FRANKSTON continues to be the big play-maker early in the pre-season recruiting stakes after snaring former Collingwood listed player Daniel Farmer.

The 20-year-old, who played 15 games and kicked 11 goals for Collingwood�s VFL team, told the Frankston website he was looking to more a laid back lifestyle at the Dolphins.

�I�m looking forward to being in a bit more relaxed atmosphere I guess,�Farmer said.

�I just want to play at the highest level I can and enjoy it, not take it easy, but in my own head just relax and enjoy it.�

The Dolphins also signed ex Sandringham player Chris Irving.

LUKE Edmondson was pinching himself when he received a call-up to make his VFL debut at Port Melbourne this season.
The former Newtown & Chilwell and East Geelong forward is now Collingwood bound, having accepted an invitation to train with the club's VFL squad.
"I'm rapt," he said. "I'm excited to be training in facilities like the Westpac Centre. If you had've told me I would've played at Patersons Stadium for Port Melbourne in the Foxtel Cup I would've pinched myself, and then ... a pre-season at Collingwood - I'm over the moon."

Edmondson, 24, said the call to join the Magpies came from out of the blue.

"I was injured for most of the year and towards the end of the season Skrobba (former East Geelong senior coach and Port Melbourne assistant coach Adam Skrobalak) asked me to help out," he said.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge and hopefully I can make the final side."

Anyone know anything about him besides his name and his age? Confused

I can add and I hope the club follows it through. Players have been told game time is based on performance. That goes for AFL listed players as well. About time as many players this year should have been left out.
