now the brissie game is an easier proposition with friends there. there is a league test [centenary??] on at around the same time, might be worth hanging around for. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

but, have all the game fixtures been finalised again with Collingwood offering to play the interstate away games in QLD in 2008? _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

yes, that was the issue with Collingwood coming out with this proposal.....people have either bought cheap flights, or were planning to and accommodation etc, so, until it's all finalised can't do a damn thing about it and there go the cheap flights etc.
That's what annoyed me about them proposing it for the 2008 season....don't care about 2009 _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

i think it is a fanciful notion that anything will happen for 2008. i reasonably expect we will still be playing brisbane in brisbane at the fixtured date/time.
they have only relocated one of the kangaroos gold coast games to the mcg. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

i don't think they'll change the fixture, but then again...Collingwood sells and the AFL is all about the mighty $$$ these days. _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

CrazyAboutDaisy wrote: | Hi All,
I know alot of people venture up to Sydney for our annual game up there and just wondering can anyone recommend any reasonable priced ($120 a night max) accomodation in Sydney?
The one place that I know is good and in my price range is booked out for the dates I am going to be there and I don't want to go to somewhere that looks good on the net but turns out to be a dung heap!
Any help would be much appricated!
Cheers! |
Well I stayed at the hostel place near central railway that's ok and also a place called duck inn or something in darlinghurst rd going towards the cross both were fine but you obviously share in a dorm!! But cheap and for a place to sleep only is fine and can go up oonto the rooftop also!! Price was around $30 or so a night!!
