All sectors of the one religion. How can this religion be taken seriously when there are sectors (and they are large sectors) of it choose to kill and maim. These barbarians just hide behind the banner of Islam, but unfortunatley, there are a lot of them.

But, here's a list of a few hundred attacks by them in just 2 years.

Not exactly a surprise given the amount of nutters with firepower in Pakistan. It would appear that the country is more than likely going to continue this 'instability' for a while yet. I have no problem with nutter on nutter violence, though I'd suggest it won't be the last blood shed in Pakistan this year. They have no Mandela on the horizon, poor bastards.

A sad, sad thing to happen. Instability will continue as LD said... How disheartening.

PP your post is so out of line, it's bordering on racist. Get a bloody clue.

This is why I will never have sympathy for groups that perform terrorist acts, whatever their reasons.

Assassinating leaders is bad in itself, but killing random civilians is on a whole different level. Disturbingly enough, it seems to be a more and more common tactic these days.

I doubt that this group would see the death of the civilians as a tragedy, or even a necessary evil, but a bonus (fear = power).

You do realise that most governments would fall under that criteria? Israel and the US especially, but all colonial powers at some point in recent history. Think Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Palestine since 1948, Nicaragua, Iran.

Terrorists groups are just armies without tanks, boats and planes. Evil as hell, but only slightly more so than regular military outfits.

I'm sorry, i don't believe i was being rascist at all. Where am i being rascist?

I'm talking about these terrorists that hide behind the banner of Islam, when they are actually going against the teachings of Islam.

I think Omar is talking along the lines of:

Not sure any Islamic group has taken responsibility yet.
Could be random civilian nutter, could be a Military hit, could have been a government sanctioned assassination, it could be even have been done by a Christian

Besides Islam is a religion, not all Pakistanis are Islamic.

yes, i was talking about the extremists in that religion. Most of Pakistan is also Islamic.

But yes, i see where your coming from saying no group has taken responsibility. I had heard on the radio that it was islamic militants....that's where i was coming from, so i'm sorry if what i said offended anyone, I wasn't intending to offend or be rascist.

Armed LD and generally have a common belief which is also scary.

The fact that their nuts are also encouraged in their "nuttiness" by people who supposedly hold responsible public positions (comparing a Mullah to a priest/minister) is downright frightening.

There was nothing racist in what you wrote PP as it was a reference to religion and not nationality. Just another chance for Omar's bleeding heart to vent.

It is truly a sad day for Pakistani democracy thats for sure.

I notice that AQ have now claimed responsibility for the assassination.

AQ, in my view, are a Para Military organisation, similar to the IRA or Ulster Unionists in that they use religion as one of the excuses for the things they do.

nuxta attacking someone for their religion, is not, as you say racist, however it still could be construed as vilification.
