As I understand it all of those quotes and the story itself was taken from her "My Space" account.
There are about 2 million Australians with these accounts, including many AFL footballers and their Wives/Girl Friends.
I don't think she approached the media with this as a story.
However, I do agree with you that it is never OK, but isn't there a well known syndrome attached to battered partners.
Carey is a poor excuse for a human being, and should be punished (assuming he is found guilty) accordingly.

Well, she is 'crazy about Madonna', so there goes a hell of a lot of credibility 
who is this chick again, apart from being Carey's current girlfriend? Should I know her?

i don't know why you class her as that? Just because she's stayed with a known woman beater and moron? There is a thing called battered wife syndrom, i think you should all google it to get a better understanding of this and why she hasn't left him. Battered wife syndrome isn't just physical battering either.
I'm disgusting that Tess started this thread attacking this woman (and basically all battered women) when we had this discussion yesterday morning.

Battered women stay cause they love the man, and don't believe it will happen again.
Surely we all have had a slap from our parents, but we still love them don't we?
People who have been through domestic voilence describe themselves as war victims. I really don't think do gooders should be commenting on something they haven't experienced.
I do agree that IT IS NEVER OK. EVER! But leaving is not as easy as just walking out the door.

Tess, SHE didn't go to the media, the media got hold of her blog and those parts of her blog which were published were nearly 12 months old, but let's not let facts get in the way......oh, and now the police in the USA have released her 911 call, i suppose your going to blame her for that release too.
Not sure what you have against her. I have empathy for this girl who is the victim in all this.
