An articl;e in this mornings press saying that the AFL have approached the AFL clubs with the intention of nexr season dropping the PRESEASON and having an extra 2 mateches in the home and away....guess who was the firstone to say....'GREAT' no one other that Lethal Leigh!!!!!!
What are the comments from the forummers??????

not a bad idea, given that the AFL's $2 million budget shortfall consists of a $600,000 loss from the wizard cup.
not sure about the extra 2 matches though.

definately. pre season is a joke, but not extra games to compensate. we're seeing enough injuries as it is. no good replacing 3-5 'soft' ganes with 2 'real' games as the problem is not being addressed. scrap the wizard cup, bring back state of origin footy and play it during a 2-3 week break in the middle of the season.
