so just say i was to move out of home and go hey i want to move to the USA for 6 months.

how much do you think i would need to get the flight and find some cheap housing and then eventually look for a job there and mayb do some schooling at the age of 20.

maybe somewhere in california or a nice place in the US.

How much Money do you think id need in the Bank to be safe that i would not need to struggle for cash or eventually have to come home because i have no money??

Firstly, you would need to obtain a green card if you wanted to work whilst over there.

Cheap housing in California? Yeah, right!

You would need a return ticket as you wouldn't even get beyond Customs without one.

You would need to show that you are able to sustain yourself for the duration of your stay.

You haven't really done much research about this, have you?

However, you could learn to speak Latino and say that you are Mexican! You'll then find plenty of work, if you are prepared to work for 75 cents an hour.

I'm actually in a similar situation, thinking of spending some time (3-6 months) in the UK and Europe (France, Germany) in a year or so. Obviously I'm going to need money, not just for the airplane tickets, but also for living expenses etc, so I'm planning to save up around 5K+ in the next twelve months and hopefully get a job while I'm over there. Has anybody here done this before, and if so, any tips?

oh David, i didn't realise you were an American. In Australia (and the UK) we call them airoplanes, not airplanes.

Went there in Feb, I wouldn't live in LA county but would love to live in Orange County, somewhere near Anaheim or Santa Ana. I enjoyed my time around there.

Actually, I think that might be "Aeroplanes."
