i had to laugh when howard tried to sell costello and the worm looked like it was headed further south than the pole. ostensibly, it is a vote between rudd and costello. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

I really don't get this whole Worm idea. You stick a bunch of people in the audience to push a button depending on how happy they are at what their hearing. WTF is their opinion more relevant than the people at home? Do they think that people are so stupid that they will first watch the debate but then can't make up their own mind about what they are hearing without needing other opinions in the road?
Actually, scratch that. Of course they do. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

one politician in nz can thank the worm for staving off political oblivion and landing him the coveted minister of revenue portfolio. in this scenario the debate was between five leaders because of mmp and the worm worked overtime. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

LOL, that is very funny.
Almost a shame it's a Greens political ad, but still, very clever. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Using that point you could argue what is the use of election polls or TV ratings, why should their opinions dictate who is going to win the election or what we all have to watch on TV? |

Understand Eddie, but the difference is this is immediate feedback. It's almost designed to tell people what they should be thinking at the time rather than have them listen to the debate.
And all the people talking about how "the worm" did this, and that etc. FFS, it was the opinion of a group of people who's opinions are no more worthy than anyone elses. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I understand they were selected by AC Neilsen as being genuine un committed voters and had no contact with channel 9 prior to the debate _________________ The one man in the world, who never believes he is mad, is the madman. |

Whatever the case - the people there heavily favoured Rudd. Rudd would say ..."but Mr. Howard", and these "genuine uncommitted voters" would go all weak at the knees. |
