We don't know the age of this baby, or whether it was full term, or still born, or perhaps a miscarrige. I don't know as to what stage of pregnancy when a birth is referred to as a miscarrige or stillborn. There are no reports yet as to whether the baby was alive or already dead when left in the toliets.

Such a very very sad story. I hope the mum is ok.

And gets some much needed help

1/. It's being said that the body may have been there for at least a week. I'm sorry, but WTF do the cleaners actually do at this place?

2/. Has anyone thought that it may have been the end product of a rape?

There has not been much more said about it since the news last night there was talk that the baby was a fullterm baby so maybe it died in birth or something...I guess for now we have to wait.

The threshold used to be 20 weeks. Thats the legal point I believe it goes from a feotas to a baby.

Less than 20 weeks, a spontaneous abortion (that's the term the doctors used) was considered a miscarriage, post 20 weeks it was considered a still birth.

Certainly horrible but I don't know if it's much worse.

A young child, put in a bag and thrown into a pond by someone vs a mother abandoning a new born in a public toilet.

While that may be true, Dave, there are some other things that may have happened to the poor child maybe someone else killed the kid and then dumped the body.

Why can't Dave engage in speculation?
His scenario is certainly possible, so why shout it down.

I agree speculation is OK, so I think it was Aliens, or perhaps the Easter Bunny
