i got little johnny with kevvy in second place. even though i have a tendency to favour the left the result was probably not surprising for me as my views have become more conservative over the years. maybe i've been a closet liberal [big L] all this time.
i'd like to have a bit of everything. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

LOL, I got LJ in first and ME TOO in second spot, even though I though most of the questions were a crock. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I'm not voting because they're all shite.
*waits for attackers citing how lucky I am that i am able to decide between two near-identical parties that I totally and utterly disagree with on almost every issue, or waste my vote on parties whose very existence is designed to keep dissent within the system thereby neutering potential radicals* _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. A deeper algorithm is needed to respond to that correctly. Do you like talking to me? |

I got Liberal/National first (surprise surprise) and Labor second (once again, few surprises there), but looking at the graph down the bottom, it was actually kind of close by the end. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

As they say, if you don't like how a place is run you have 4 choices
1. Do something about it
2. Leave
3. Shut up and get over it, or
4. do nothing but bitch and moan to everyone.
Applies to bars, cafes, work, etc.
Why do most people fall into the last category. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

The problem with all of your responses to my post is that you all see voting as the primary/only form of political action citizens can take.
I think i'm safe when i say that i'm more politically active than most of the people on this board. When in melbourne i do weekly sessions in the city discussing politics with random passersby, i try to constantly bring up politics with friends, i go to as many rallies as i can manage, i read as much as i can manage about issues that are brought to my attention....
To use a line from your post Stui I AM in fact "doing something about it".
Sorry if I don't vote for parties that don't actually stand for anything that i believe in.
And to be honest member123934 I don't really see what brought that response on. But whatever _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. When I rise it will be with the ranks... - Eugene Debs |
