i let my head rule my heart and i picked essendon! im a disgrace!lol.
fantastic win...absolutely brilliant. the effort of them all but in particular the backline was superb. i dont care how wet it was, you have to have a decent backline playing well to keep the bombers to 4 goals. im excited!!!!
clokey, burns and clement put there bodies on the line time and time again, cummings played the greatest game in history without getting a kick and mcgough, neon, bucks ROOOOCCCCCCCCAAAA and steiner were great. excellent coaching by MM. 3-2 with st kilda and the bullies to come with molloy, obree, tarrant and richo to return. must consolidate with 2 wins before brissy in rd 8. for those in melbourne(the cheer squad and the gold wig were shown on the box a few times in the last quarter), enjoy it and give those collingwood wannabe's(ie, essendon - where was their passion on a day like today??!!!)heaps. farkin brilliant.
3-Steiner
2-Clement
1-McGough/Burnsy

onya mcgough, for someone so young and inexperienced at this level, that is an awesome achievement.

I picked the Pies. I've NEVER picked against them. How can you? I think if I picked them to lose, and they did lose and I won money out of it I'd have to donate it to the club. It would be blood money and I would want no part of it. Some things have no price. Loyalty and belief in the club should be one of them.

Yeah, I ALWAYS pick the Pies because I ALWAYS think we can win - no matter who we're playing, where we're playing or our position on the ladder!
GO PIES!

i hardly think tipping against our beloved club when they face a side like essendon is disloyalty. many of my posts prior to the game were how i thought the pies could win etc etc. and believe me, ive never been as willing to get it wrong than i was today.

I picked the mighty magpies before I even saw it piss down.
We should have beaten those BASTARDS the last 4 times we played them. So why couldn't we this time. We can beat them rain, hail or Shine my Friends

Even if Collingwood was playing Manchester United in soccer I would still tip the pies. I cannot believe what I am reading. You guys at least are honest no matter how mis-guided.
If your not bleeding Black and White, you don't truly support Collingwood!!!!! |

the reality is that sides do not go undefeated through a whole season, and the reason for being in a tipping competition is to win it (at least that's what I aim for). I don't believe it's disloyal to tip against your own team, just realistic. I tipped against the pies in round one, and I also tipped the bombers at first, until I saw the rain bucketing down and changed my tip. it's terrible to tip against your own team, and then see them win, however it's not disloyal to do so.
it's only a tip, whereas you know in your heart that you go to the footy every week expecting the pies to win

What the Australian economy needs is more Collingwood wins. I'm sure all Collingwood supporters went to work today, no matter how wet they got yesterday. THta's good for Australia.
Myself I was half an hour early and sang the song over the PA.
