what a disgrace if the allegations are proved but i'm sure he has what he thinks are legitimate reasons.

What's the use of looking out for him if he's in the united states?

Seriously, it's a sad story anyhow. It's horribly irresponsible to leave a kid that young at a train station, but to do that in the first place you'd have to be pretty messed up. So, let's hope he's ok as well.

The story gets worse all the time. My gut is that he's done something to her mother.

They know her name, they know who her mother is, they know who her father is (the one who abandoned her), but they can't find her mother who only recently reconciled wither her husband.

Looks very likely PP.
He certainly seems to have engaged in behavior well outside normality. I fear it is just a matter of time that this little girl is exposed to the fact her mother is dead and her father is the killer.

Hunt this dog down.

New Zealand police say they hold "grave concerns" for the safety of the mother of the young girl who was abandoned in Melbourne at the weekend.

Ch 7 just played part of a film made by an NZ uni in which the dog pleaded for his daughter, who had run away, to return home. This was 2002.
Ch 7 also revealed that the dog has a conviction within the last 12 months for assault against his wife.

please don't call him a dog. Dogs are wonderful pets, this person is not human, but he's not a dog.

yeah, please don't call him a dog........................yet.

Everything to date except the fact that he abandoned his daughter at a train station is supposition. Lot's of it don't make sense, like why he'd abandon his daughter in the first place and if he meant harm to her, why such a public place as a train station. Confused

IF he killed her mother and kidnapped her, why dump her? IF he realised he couldn't get her on an international flight and decided to dump her somewhere she'd be found and looked after, that's not exactly a class act but it's a hell of a lot better than a shallow grave in the bush or driving into a dam.

They should lock up the person who gave her the name pumpkin.

Could her mum be Gwyneth Paltrow?

Great post mate Smile

A lot of Today Tonight'esque judgements being made in this thread... I'm sure this guy had a reason for doing what he did.

Does that reason make what he did okay? Probably not. But is he a "dog"? Almost DEFINITELY not.
