A lot of legal experts think this case will get nowhere, neither do I.
I'm a regular user, and was watching those threads from day one, and any defamatory comments made (which there was two unrelated to the topic or 2Clix) were removed. The Admin there are awesome, and have always believed in customers and suppliers having a good balance of displaying the truth, opinion, and then getting rid of the garbage.
Whirlpool did nothing wrong, 2Clix are just pissed that so many people hate their product, because it did not deliver what it promised to. There were even reps from 2Clix joining in on the discussions giving advice.
The whole lawsuit is flawed, and I hope 2Clix get slammed by the judges for being so petty. What 2Clix are trying to do is censor people from making any honest comment or giving critisism about their products.

Too difficult.
Big Footy is owned by a US Company.
Who then is the responsible person in Aust?
Where would the case be heard?
Who's laws would apply?

I believe Bigfooty has been in passed legal troubles, I know a Hawks fan site was sued over the posting of Darren Goldspinks number, the same poster claims he was the one that phoned the Crows hotel last week.
The same website also was threatened with legal action over pictures and articles used from the Hawthorn website, which was the end of the forum the admin decided he didn't want to go through it again and shut the board down.

the whirlpool forum is all hot air....1/2 the stuff thats on their site is all BUNKUM....I used to be on their,BUT 1/2 the stuff that people refered to was all common knowledge or the posters were 'knowalls who knew nothing'
Thats my opinion for what its worth.
