Lica was absolutely everywhere against the Dorks.
He was hitting our players on the chest with his passes and
had as many possessions as Nathan Buckley.
I hope everyone can see now why he won the Copeland.
His work ethic was outstanding.

his work ethic is unbelievable. sure, his disposals are not his strong suits, but he makes up for it with his work rate, courage, commitment, dedication and his capacity to improve.

I think someone on this BB suggested that he was the worst copeland winner since wes fellowes. well, he has truly vindicated his copeland win with his performance against the hawks. remember, he was also under the pump for the awful clanger he did against the blues. however, I lost count of the number of times he swept the ball from defence on saturday and hit targets with his much improved disposal.

the one incident against the hawks that just about sums lica up for me happened in the third quarter (I think) when he ran back to cover a man who wasn't even his, made the spoil and prevented a certain goal.

people can keep bagging him, but it only makes him stronger.

"..we flew at them as a hawk to his prey, passed through them in the disordered state in which they were, separated them into two distinct parts and then tacked upon their largest division.." -- Captain Cuthbert Collingwood, 1797
