I think it's because a lot of people thought Big Brother Uncut had gone too far in the last season. Uncut has always been naughty and there wasn't really a problem with the show apart from it being garbage, but Ten started pushing the boundaries to create controversy and get more ratings. I think everyone agrees there are certain things that are not suitable for TV and therefore wants TV censored, it's just that people will disagree on where the lines should be drawn.

Birdy, people have the right to be entertained, and if they are entertained by watching half naked people making dick and bum jokes on BB, then they have every right to be able to watch that. The network itself actually didn't get many complaints from the public, it was politicians and the media creating a lot of hype. Same goes for Californication. They received one complaint as far as I am aware, and the rest has been a media beat up.

SBS is a great channel, plays all these obscure films you can't see otherwise. Although I can't speak for all their shows and movies, you get the feeling at least the sex and nudity there is somewhat justified.
Whereas, crappy shows (not saying this necessarily is one, I haven't seen it) that use sex and nudity just to get ratings, well that's all you can expect from the commercial networks anyway. I'm not a big fan of censorship, and if it comes down to choosing between a show like this or some lowbrow American cop show that glorifies violence (eg Law and Order), I think I'd rather keep this one.

Actually, porn is probably a misnomer, as Bolt said in that article, pornography is "the depiction of erotic behaviour intended to cause sexual excitement". Hardcore porn is about as unerotic as it gets.

LOL, almost the same as me!
I've had sex in a church twice as well, but the first time was AS an altar boy, the second time I pretended to be a priest!

Anyone wanna bitch about censorship, go watch the People vs Larry Flynt. Watched this the other day. Love it. I love freedom of speech, and I love freedom of sexuality. Hugh Hefner and Larry Flynt are both iconic men in my opinion - standing up for what they believe in.
