I can imagine. I think the worst thing would be her wanting to spend time staring at a screen for hours and not spending time with you. But the money issue would be the straw that broke the camel's back, for me. I don't have a lot, so ppl who just throw it away make me really mad.

Wow what a history. I've never played the pokies, and the couple of times I've been to the Casino, I've felt horribly uncomfortable. It's about 3 in the morning and there's these people just sitting there, staring.
The Whitlams actually refuse to play any venues that have pokies. I love that line in blow up the pokies

True. My old man is bad news like that. I never understood why Mum stayed with him so long. I think if I were to get addicted to anything it would probably be alcohol because my father's an alcoholic and so is his father, and when I get depressed I go out and buy a bottle of schnapps and drink it in one hit. So I've got to be careful, that way.

I eat when I'm bored. But thankfully, not when I'm depressed or I'd be the size of a house by now. My pop's helping keep VB in business too. He'll outlast all of us, i reckon cos he's pickled his liver. Preserved it!

Luckily I've got a pretty good exercise bike so when I feel like I'm overeating because of boredom I'll jump on the bike for half an hour instead.
