Continued from the What pisses me off thread.
So, after cracking the sads with mr. no contact, I looked up other options and rang one of them 1300 plumber gigs.
Organised a bloke to come out same day, but it would cost an $89 call out fee to get him there after 6pm, the bloke was working in Frankston until 4pm. Took that, figured at least I'd get a show.
15 minutes later I get a call. The bloke has got a text from the service and offers to do an over the phone quote and save me the $89 (and obviously him a prick of a drive).
So I outline the deal over the phone, he asks a few questions, says he needs to speak to his boss but he'll send me a text with the quote in 15 minutes.
10 minutes later I get a text quoting a price range which I'm happy with. I'm busy so I don't respond straight away, 5 minutes later I get a call, "Did you get my text?"
Quick chat, accept the range, so he's coming over Friday to do the job.
Swung past Masters in Preston on the way home, picked up a new dunny (S trap not P trap, I was told what to get) for $210 and got 10% off that. Not sure why, maybe they have a policy of giving 10% off to guys buying bathroom stuff while wearing suits, I got the same when I bought the vanity unit last week.
So touch wood all goes to plan. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

A friend of mine is going to help me meet the coaching staff at Hobart, and take some training photos and another friend has sent me the perfect course for next year.
I cannot wait to begin this course, learning more about photography, working for some footy clubs, and all that. _________________ Ðavâgé

Couple of things
Tiger balm. My left ankle is either female or a shop steward or both. Some days it's happy and everything is good, other days it's in the sulks, moody and wakes up deciding it doesn't want to work today. And no amount of persuasion will change that until it feels like it.
It's been in the sooks for a week and I'm sick of walking funny to relieve pressure (that impacts on hips, knees and back) so I resorted to the Tiger Balm today.
Far Kew ankle
Day off work tomorrow, plumber is coming over. Boss offered me the option of working from home instead of taking leave but I said no (and thank you) as I know I wouldn't do enough to justify it in my own mind. I'll keep that option for when I have stuff I need to focus on without interruptions, which is likely to be often next year if things work out. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Whooo. You go.
Now it needs to go to the various quality committees for approval and get referred back to you multiple times because imbeciles don't understand things that are clear to anyone with an IQ over 60.
Have fun with that, try not to kill anyone. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Said goodbye to my dogs at the old house, I would have dug them up and took them with me (yes really!) but it's too long ago, would be only dust... As I left the new owners arrived, and they are lovely people! That's awesome, simply awesome cheers
Man I love summer! And now, no more stress! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Plumbers finished, job done. New crapper and hand basin installed and look schmick. Don't have to go for a cross country hike to take a leak in the middle of the night anymore _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

More like "What has made me happy recently".......
- The 9 year old making his cricket debut a few weeks ago.
Bowled well in the first game. Got his first bat in the second game, played some nice shots but not strong enough to pierce the infield, got a (nice looking LOL) duck. Makes his wicket-keeping debut tonight in his third game.
Took him to senior training last night with the WK gloves on to prepare - some of the boys gave him a very difficult workover for an adult let alone a 9 yo, should be well prepared to handle the Under 11 bowling attack!
- Got asked to take over as Coach of the Under 11 footy side next season.
I was thinking of putting my hand up anyway after helping out as an assistant coach the last couple of seasons, I think I enjoy it as much as the kids!
The club we're at has some kids with "troubled" and neglectful parents - it's very rewarding when you build a rapport with some of these little s**** that won't listen to their parents or teachers, to the point that they actually respect and listen to what you have to say. A bit of tough love & discipline with a follow-up arm around the shoulder 5 minutes later has worked a treat so far! _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

^Been having the odd read of a topic every now and again - but any time I've felt compelled to comment, I've refrained due to lack of time and/or inclination to explain myself properly.
Better to keep my nose clean than to misrepresent my own viewpoints!!
I had to come on for a pat-myself-on-the-back type of pump up for "Coach Monkey" though. _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

Go Coach Monkey.
Scored me a Samsung Gear S2 today.
On discount at Telstra Greensie from nearly $500 down to $370.
Got another $20 off that.
Paid $110 up front and added the balance to the handset repayment on my Telstra bill which has 12 months to go, then dropped the insurance option on the handset so net impact to the monthly bill is an extra $7 per month.
So, TLDR summary, scored a $500 smartwatch for less than $200 _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
