My pc guy had my pc past weekend, got it back Tuesday, fixed a few things, changed the virus control over, though I'm still not convinced a new tower isn't a good idea! Still a bit slow! The old key board pins are shot, only had a cheaply use one around, so bought a decent one from office works you can wash under the tap! (I hate grot) had a look at range extenders, the one I bought helped, but I couldn't get the network to lock. Nice guy there seemed to know a lot, showed me his extender :O and said it was good! And idiot proof! I said good give me the top of the range! (It's tax deductible, office equipment!) my eldest and her fellow IT. Student boyfriend just built themselves a new PC, and were keen to get faster internet. So they offered to set it up! Ok, that will save me time in rehab. FMD, they had it set up and locked in 10 min flat! And it's super fast, upstairs in the opposite corner! Bliss!

Tannin why won't my windows update update? I get page not found?

And to round out the weekend, me and my sister escaped from pentridge! Cheers!

Thanks for the heads up! It's my favourite time of year, though I rarely post about it much here because, me and WPT aside, this is a bit of a cinephile-free zone.

But now you've brought it up, I guess I should pass on the good news: I'm participating in this upcoming festival's "critics campus", an event run over the course of a week in which a small group of aspiring film critics get expert tuition, a free pass to see as many films as they like, a hotel room in the city and their daily reviews published in The Age. Needless to say, I can't wait.

Here's my profile:

I just checked into the hotel room an hour ago, after dropping Lola and baby Ingmar at the airport earlier this morning (they're spending the week in Queensland with her family). Just talked to her on the phone; seems the flight went really well and Ingmar didn't cry once. Plus, I've managed to see a film already - Cemetery of Splendour by Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

It's going to be a good week, I suspect. Smile

Great stuff David. So the chloroform worked for young Ingmar then?

I suspect they just had Umbrellas of Cherbourg as the in-flight movie.

Hehe, cool!

Had a great day today, travel half way round the country and back, to the artic centre, picked up my shiny new PC from the tea man, good company, good tea! And a fantastic apple crumble!

Cheers!

I just had more of it for supper. Smile Tomorrow, Belinda and I will have a small drop of Hanwood together to drink your health.

Exercise: The ol' routine has started again now I'm near nicer walking/running/cycling paths. It might seem a minor consideration, but I won't be making that mistake again!
