Haha, KM. After my childhood, nothing religious can touch me. It'd be a breath of fresh air compared to a weekend at my parents'! Razz

had the misfortune to have to go into Sth yarra today, had to pay a bond and pick up keys for a place my son is moving into. (More on that another time)

While I was in the neighborhood, at the Como centre right in the heart of Sth Yarra, I went over to this 50's style burger joint to grab lunch. I ate there before, must be 15 years ago.

So had the burger and (hot) chilli chees fries and a coke while Elvis sang away in the background.

Noice.

I went to that very place with John Wren back in the day! The waitresses did a song and dance routine about halfway through our meal. It was somewhere between so-bad-it's-good and so-bad-it's-just-bad. But the food was pretty good. Smile

Awesome weather for a late walk around the river and town. Water birds all over the place, lawns and gardens in fine form. After 9pm now and still light.

The black-headed gull has made an appearance on the Kennet and Avon Canal: Poorly-named, brown-headed little beauties (well, at least the ones I saw looked brown-headed in all light at all different angles):

Nope, that's not a silver gull that's been fishing in an oil spill!

They've also been spotted in Broome, apparently:

Yeah, the house he's been in is being sold. Plus he has no license anymore so the burbs has access to public transport which opens up the job market just a lot.

Love it when that happens, better than being self absorbed, or zombie with an ipod

Feeling a bit sore but reasonably happy.

Picked up the removal truck from Budget this morning, 4 point something meter job, big as you can drive on a car licence, and headed up to Romsey with the daughters BF with me. She stayed home.

Got up there, the boy and his GF I suppose had been busy, pretty much everything was in the carport waiting to be loaded, stuff was all boxed, everything pretty much ready to go.

Managed to fill the truck with the overflow going in a loaner car which my daughters BF was to drive back.

Got everything unloaded and kicked em off the couch to get unpacking so by the time I left downstairs was fully unpacked and functional.

They've got a 2 story townhouse apartment in a little group of them, all butted up against each other. Carport and kitchen/lounge downstairs, with 2 bedrooms, toilet, bathroom and a european laundry upstairs.

Body's a bit sore, I got the heavy jobs. Dragging the washing machine upstairs on the trolley was hard work even with the son pushing from below. Tempted to go have a bath, but first doing some rehydrating. Got some alcoholic ginger beer varieties in the drinks fridge, might work through a few of those before thinking about dinner.
